What is it? Maybelline Lip Gradation Red 2 is a red lipstick to give ombre lips. Now let me explain to you what exactly is gradient or ombre effect, basically, it’s a Korean trend where your lips are darker in the center and it gets lighter towards the end, it gives nice candy sucked effect, which looks absolutely gorgeous and natural.

My experience with Maybelline Lip Gradation Red 2
They come in a cylindrical sleek plastic tube, which is quite sturdy. It is a dual-sided lip crayon with a black plastic cap on both the ends. I like the fact that lids are well secured and snap every time you close it. It has a thin bullet crayon on one end and a sponge smudger on the other end. I feel the bonus part About packaging is they are color coded and also travel-friendly.
It has no scent at all, so if you are someone who is allergic to strong scents, then lip gradations are your BFF sweetie ❤
This has smooth buttery texture, its more like a creamy matte lip crayon, it doesn’t dry out your lips like most of the matt crayons. But if you already have dried or chapped lips please prep up your lips beforehand. In winters what I do is apply a lip balm first and then do the rest of my makeup, lastly, wipe off the lip balm with a rough towel gently scrubbing it. And then apply the lipstick.
Shade and Pigmentation
If you are someone who is scared of trying out red lipsticks then this shade is will work perfectly for you, its a stunning dark red with blue undertones to it. This is one of those shades of red which is works for all the skin tones. I really love the opacity and Pigmentation of this range, they cover all the hyperpigmentation like dream. You don’t need to conceal your lips in order to get a good color payoff, overall you can never go wrong with this shade.
This stays on for good 4-5 hours, after that you need to redo your lips, and even after fading out, it leaves a gorgeous natural stain. I do not like lipsticks which vanishes completely on fading, so stay wise this baby does its job fairly well.
This is my third pick from the lip gradation range, and I can’t stop talking about this lip crayon, if you ain’t bothered about the gradient effect then this will work perfectly for you, for Indian skin tones I don’t see the gradient , ombre effect working, if you don’t have hyperpigmentation then you can try out creating ombre look. Its thin bullet is easy to work with, I can precisely line my lips without unwanted over lining. And also its formula ain’t insanely drying but, after 5 hours your lips will tend to get stretchy. So better apply a lightweight lip balm underneath.
