You all must have heard of the Maybelline Color Show Creamy Matte Lip color range. So today, I’m reviewing the Maybelline Colorshow Lively Violet Creamy Matte Lip color shade M401 for you guys. Maybelline Colorshow Creamy Matte range has some very beautiful shades ranging from reds, browns, pinks and mauves. In total there are 12 of them. Lively Violet is a dreamy creamy, light tone of violet.

Claim – its new ultra-care formula is moisture rich, hydrating and light.

How to use – Glide the lipstick over your lips and have pretty pinkish-mauve lips in just one go.

Packaging – It comes in a black casing along with a color coded band at the centre. The whole packaging makes it very handy so you may carry it around with zero issues.

My Experience with Maybelline Colorshow Lively Violet Creamy Matte Lip Color

I personally love the shade! It makes my lips look a bit plumpy and I like this part of it. It also has a sweet fragrance to it. It is actually very creamy in nature which makes it doesn’t last for too long. Also, it gets transferred onto anything your lips come in contact with, though not very easily. Light application looks better than heavy application. My friend tried it taking it from me and it looked hideous on her probably because she’s a bit on the wheatish side of the complexion. So it’s a no-no for all the girls who have a slightly darker skin tone. I feel it only flatters extremely fair skin tone.

Overall Performance of Maybelline Colorshow Lively Violet Creamy Matte Lip Color

It is a pretty shade of violet and suits fair complexion. It’s creamy and glossy when applied but takes a lot of time to dry down into a matte finish, almost half an hour or more. But even after drying up completely it does not leave the lips dry or dehydrated. Instead, it still remains creamy and feels super soft on lips. All the positive factors aside, it does not stay for long so every 4 hours a touch up is required. I am a person who prefers hassle free removing process and this has come out to be easily removable with any makeup remover or coconut oil.

It’s not very expensive nor very cheap so a mid-ranged product with such performance is a total thumbs up for me! Although, not for the dusky beauties. I might repurchase if I don’t get bored of the shade which is hardly possible. I most definitely recommend this to all the ladies with dry lips and those of you who want to try out something new other than your usual reds and pinks. Its hydrating formula keeps your lips from drying and makes them feel extremely soft, so there’s absolutely no harm in giving this a try. It’s an everyday wear shade and goes with most of the looks. So it’s a safe shade to keep with you for emergency purpose.
