From weddings to Christmas to New Year, this month has been filled with parties. And to look party-ready this season, it’s a must to add some shimmer and shine to our looks.

Therefore this would be the perfect time to unleash the power of all the illuminators and highlighters that we own. On that note, today I’ll be reviewing the Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator that I received in my Glamego subscription box at the beginning of this month.

Manna Kadar is a fashion and beauty guru hailing from the city of Paris. She launched the Manna Kadar beauty line in 2012 of which there are fifteen products in almost a hundred different shades and tones.

The Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator is the evolved form of their Sheer Glo Illuminator. So let’s find out how it worked!

My Experience with the Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator

Packaging

The Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator comes in a peach colored tube that has a white cap. It has a nozzle tip which makes it easy to control the amount of product being squeezed out. The packaging is hygienic and sturdy which makes it perfect for travels too.

Consistency and Texture

The product is cream based. It is a sheer nude colored liquid. It blends very well into the skin and does not feel uncomfortable on the skin. It isn’t runny. But it isn’t very thick either.

Effects

The Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator worked pretty well for me. This one is a very light illuminator and is perfect for those of us who want a subtle shine and glow. But this would not be a good choice for those of you who want a dazzling party look. I have always liked subtle looks more than bright ones. The fresh dewy looks are something that I prefer. So for me, this product did well. Most of the time, I mix it with my foundation to spread the shine evenly all over the face. But I have also used it as a highlighter and I absolutely love the light glow and shine it gives off. I have combination skin and this one suited my skin. Also, this illuminator adapts to all skin tones, hence I faced no problem there either. This product has no fragrance, which isn’t a problem at all.

But in the end, I wouldn’t want to purchase this a second time because I would prefer something that is a little less expensive.

Would I Recommend and Repurchase?

I do recommend this for those of you who like the lighter makeup looks, like me. But you don’t need this otherwise. As for the repurchase question, I don’t think I’ll be buying this again.

Actually..I loved those red star earrings. So pretty. I was expecting a blinding shine from this highlighter since I read that a beauty guru started it. But never mind. Less is always more. Great review.
