Who is it for? MAC Chili Lipstick Is For those looking for a good quality lipstick in a burnt brick red sort of shade that is very pigmented.
My experience with MAC Chili Lipstick
The packaging of the mini version lipstick is exactly the same as the original size. Classy black tube with the branding. The only change is that the original comes in a box and the mini version comes in a little zip lock bag.
It has a very satin-like smooth texture so application is very easy. It glides onto the lips with ease.
Chili, like the name, suggests…the shade is an orange-ish red. It’s more like a burnt brick shade, that suits most skin tones
Although the lipstick transfers, it does last for a long long time.
Sadly, Chili is transfer proof and goes onto the glass while drinking. Which means that it also fades off a little in the process.
Chili is a creamy texture like I’ve already mentioned. But a couple of minutes after applying, it settles into a matte.
Thanks to the creamy texture of this lipstick, it is very moisturizing. It doesn’t dry out the lips or settle into any fine lines.
I’ve always felt that the pricing of Mac can be a little better. For the quantity, 900 might be a bit much.
- Decent packaging
- Smooth texture
- Easy application
- Nice shade
- Settles into a matte
- Long lasting
- I wouldn’t say this is a complete negative…but the brand could work on the pricing. I know that it is about quality, but for the quantity of the Little Mac, INR 900 is a little high.
- Not transfer proof
Would I repurchase & recommend?
Yes, I definitely would. And if Chili is your shade and you’re okay with spending a little, go for it!
