It creates slight cooling sensation due to the presence of menthe. If your skin is eczema prone or simply flaky dry, it might cause irritations.
My Experience with Lux Fresh Splash Water Lily & Cooling Mint Oil Refreshing Body Wash
Packaging
This body wash comes in a tall bottle with screw cum flip-open cap. The theme colour is mint green. The packaging is simple but sturdy.
Colour & Texture
The body wash has medium consistency. It is light green in colour and has pearly texture. It is more of a clarifying body wash and creates lots of foam. It washes off easily and does not leave creamy residue.
Fragrance
It has moderate intensity minty citrus fragrance. The fragrance is not long staying. As you wash it off from the skin the fragrance goes off pretty soon. The smell is very similar to Garnier’s 5 Precious Herbs hair care range products.
Experience
Lux’s Fresh Splash range soaps are my all time favorite from Lux so I decided to invest on the body wash from this range. I expected this one to have the same fragrance as the soap but this one is more on the mint and citrus side; the soap had a blend of floral and aqua fragrance. The body wash gives a squeaky clean feel to my skin. I have normal body skin without any body-acne issue. For my skin, the wash felt drying and I had to moisturize immediately after application. So, I can’t recommend it to someone with dry skin.
What do I like about this body wash?

- Creates lots of lather
- Washes off completely; no oily residue
- Light cooling sensation
What I dislike about this body wash?
- Not moisturizing so not suitable for dry skin
- The fragrance does not last at all
- I expected a little bit more cooling sensation
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
It’s a basic clarifying body wash for normal to oily skin with a slight cooling sensation. If you are looking for an affordable summer body wash you might try this. I would not buy it again but I would like to try another variant from LUX.
