L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation Review

PRICE: 595INR for 30ml.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation

L’Oreal Paris is one brand I trust and love with all my heart. All the products that I have ever tried of this brand have proved to be value for money always, so just because of this I had high expectations from this product.

As soon as they launched this range I bought the foundation and compact powder both (which I will also review for you guys).

PACKAGING:

It comes in very pretty glossy pink squeeze tube. The whole tube is literally pink the nozzle, the cap everything which makes it very attractive to look at. The ingredients are mentioned at the back of the tube which is good point.

TEXTURE:

though I have combination skin I always prefer matte foundations in summers to stay oil free. This foundation has a light weight creamy texture neither runny nor thick. It is very easy to blend no matter you use your fingers, a brush or a makeup sponge. It settles to a powder finish as soon as you blend it. I just use a light blush or a highlighter over it to avoid my face from looking flat.

COVERAGE:

It provides light to medium coverage keeping the skin looking natural and at the same time still evens the skin tone and covers minor scars and acne marks. I would still stay that it might end up looking a bit chalky if you layer it and don’t blend it properly so be careful about that.

SHADES:

it comes in 5 different shades which will suit fair to wheatish skin tones. So dusky skin tones might have a problem in finding their correct shades. I have mine in shade N1 which will for fair pale skin tones like me.

STAYING POWER:

It stays on me for good 4 to 5 hours without making my face look cakey if I’m out in the sun after that it needs to be set or I sometimes use a blotting sheet and I’m good to go  & in air conditioned environment it has lasted me a whole evening without facing any issue.

The only problem I had with it was that it exaggerated my dry patches prominently so I have to definitely use a moisturiser underneath it.

L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation Review 4

PROS:
  1. Affordable
  2. Blends easily to a powdery matte finish.
  3. Attractive packaging
  4. Travel friendly
  5. Good staying power
  6. Natural looking coverage
CONS:
  1. Exaggerates the dry patches
  2. Moisturiser is necessary.
RECOMMEND/REPURCHASE?

Overall it was a good purchase I don’t think I am going to buy it again as I would like to try other foundation but if you are someone who is looking for affordable everyday foundation to keep the face looking matte and shine free this is right product for you.
