How to Use:
The application is extremely smooth. The pigmentation of the lipstick is vivid. The creamy texture and the alluring scent makes you want to keep using the lipstick over and over again. It’s long lasting and smudge proof. Mistakes are a bit hard to blend in as the pigmentation is strong. But the color can be used both as a day lipstick as well as a night lipstick.
My Experience with L’Oreal Star Collection Pure Amaranthe Gong Li Lipstick
Now I know I keep blabbering on and on about complexion but a lip color is all about attitude. And if you have enough poise and presence, you can easily carry this lipstick off flawlessly.
This shade in the Pure Reds Collection leans a bit towards the pinkish side and I quite liked the fact that it did. My problem with most lipsticks is that it looks something in the case or on my computer screen but looks something else altogether on my lips. The difference is staggering.
This happened to me with this lipstick. The tester on my hand looked fabulous but my lips being darker, made the lipstick look a bit loud on me. And so I had to end up mixing another color to mellow it down.
With that said, this lipstick was similar in quality to the Pure Rouge. The texture was creamy and it was super easy to apply. I was content with that aspect of the lipstick.
The lipstick can be described in only one way and that is wild. The color is a bold statement to make and even though I have qualms about it suiting my skin tone, I enjoy putting it on time and again to make a statement. It’s absolutely perfect for a night out with my girls. I enjoy it to the fullest. Yet, I do doubt if I’m being too loud sometimes. But that won’t stop me from using it.

Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
I’m not sure if I would repurchase but I would recommend. To each their own. This lipstick did not suit me but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t suit everybody. It’s actually a wonderful color. Such a shame that it isn’t for me.
