Today I am going to review my first violet makeup goodie of this year, L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Silky Pencil Eyeliner in 240 Pure Purple. Colourful eyeliner pencils are the quickest and most efficient way to bring some color to your face when rest of the makeup is going in sober notes. Green, blue and violet are three of my favorite shades in eye makeup. Now, I have some cool shades of blue and green in my stash so I have gone for this vibrant shade of purple from L’oreal. My Experience with L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Silky Pencil Eyeliner 240 Pure Purple

Packaging- This eyeliner comes in sharpenable cylindrical pencil form. The pencil is quite sleek and has a transparent cap to secure the tip. It comes packed in a cardboard flap. The pencil is quite easy to work with and due to its slender design, it is very travel-friendly. The outer packaging has complete ingredient list along with the claims and usage details.

Shade, Pigmentation & Texture- Pure Purple is a shade of violet which has a nice warmth to it. This shade is going to fare well on Indian skin. This eyeliner pencil is extremely pigmented. It imparts its true color in a single swipe. Another swipe intensifies the shade even more. This is a gel finish eye pencil. It has a soft texture. It glides over the skin smoothly and gives even finish. In just a few seconds it settles into the skin. It is completely smudge-proof and waterproof.

Fragrance- It is a fragrance-free product.

Staying Power- This eyeliner pencil has superb staying power. Due to its smudge proof and waterproof texture, it stays at least 7-8 hours on my eyelids. It requires a cream or oil based product to get it removed.

Experience- This is a satin finish eye pencil that I find extremely useful to create both days as well as evening looks. I have quite pigmented eyelid. I often find it difficult to get the exact color from colored eyeliners. Thankfully this is not like those liners. It gives opaque coverage. I generally do winged eyes or a simple liner look with this pencil. But, it can also be used as the base for the purple smokey eye. Performance wise this eyeliner pencil is very similar to Maybelline’s Lasting Drama Gel Pencils. The intensity of pigment, finish and staying power is very similar; in the face, the quantity of these two pencils are exactly same. However, the shade variety is different in these two ranges.

It stays on and on and gives a nice pop of color to the entire makeup look. I have become a fan of it so I am going to buy it again for sure! Just try it guys, you will love it!
