Lifestyle Choices That Will Make you look Younger !

Hey girls, who doesn’t want to look scars and wrinkle free throughout their lives. As we all are aware of the fact that after a certain age our face and skin start to get loose, dull, wrinkles, blemishes, fine lines and what not. All these things make us look older than our actual age. So, today I have come up with some amazing Lifestyle Choices That Will Make you look Younger.

Let’s get started.

Lifestyle Choices That Will Make you look Younger

  1. Moisturise your skin- Yep starting with the Basics!

Just like our body needs a proper diet in order to provide us enough energy to perform a daily task so does our skin requires moisture to maintain the natural oils in our skin. Dermatologists suggest that we must apply lotion onto our skin immediately after taking shower to lock the moisture in our skin. We must use a good quality lotion on our hands as they indicate the signs of aging in the very first place.

  1. Eat green, stay teen!

Okay, girls so we all hate the fact that with growing age our skin is also losing its shine and glow. To rewind the aging of your skin and turn teen again switch to green. Green veggies like spinach, broccoli, cucumbers, zucchini etc. are a great source of vitamins and minerals. These veggies have the antioxidant properties which help us in maintaining that glow on our skin by removing dirt and impurities. For a radiant blemish free skin add a side salad to your meal or just have salad in dinner and guess what they also help in weight-loss.

  1. Say yes to H2O

Experts say that one must drink (ounces) water equal to their weight in kilograms for example if your weight is 60kg then you must drink 60oz of water every day. Water helps in balancing the pH levels of our skin and excreting out the toxins from our body. This makes our skin clean, healthy and toxin-free. It also prevents our skin from breakouts. We can also eat fruits and veggies rich in water content like watermelons, or simply coconut water.

  1. Say no to UV rays

Pollution and harmful UV rays are the enemies of your skin. These harmful UV rays are a great threat to our skin as they not only give us tanning and pigmentation but also darkens the scars and blemishes. To avoid it we must apply good sunscreen lotion on all the parts of our body exposed directly to the sun before going out. In a country like India climate gets really harsh and sunny at times so, use a sunscreen with high SPF and you are good to go.

  1. Take a nap!

Yes, you read it right its nap time. Not getting enough sleep can cause stress, which leads to breakouts and dull complexions. Sleep is a very important factor for the working women who have to sit in front of their laptops and computers all day at work. The rays coming out from laptops and mobiles harms our skin revealing the fine lines under our eyes. Doctors suggest one must sleep for at least 8 hours a night to maintain a healthy lifestyle

  1. Eye care

The skin around our eye is the thinnest so, it shows the first sign of aging. Even if you are in your early 20’s preventative care now will keep your eyes looking healthy for the years to come. To prevent this one can put slices of cucumber on your eyes for 15 mins or dip a cotton ball in rose water and put let it stay over your eyes for 15 mins and relax.

  1. Pamper your skin

Our skin needs a constant reminder that we care about it and in order to do that we must pamper our skin once or twice in every month. Pampering doesn’t always mean that we need to go out for those expensive spas and massage. Here I’ve got you covered with some home-made skincare routine.

  • DIY scrub: just mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil/coconut oil with brown sugar and exfoliate your body with this DIY scrub.
  • Milk bath: taking milk bath once a week keeps your body moisturized and healthy. Don’t use harsh soaps instead use milk to clean your body.

PS: it stinks a lot so apply a good fragranced lotion after taking a milk bath.

  • Steam it up: taking steam once a month will excrete out all the impurities of your skin leaving your skin clean and refreshing.
  • Aromatherapy: instead of going out in some expensive salon make your home a salon. Just invest in some good quality aroma oils and enjoy the aromatherapy at home. You can add 2-3 drops of the aroma oil of your choice to coconut oil and massage your body with it. It relaxes your body and makes it stress-free preventing it from getting fine lines.
  1. Remove makeup before bed

Who doesn’t like to wear makeup and look flawless but wearing makeup for too long can harm our skin and even cause breakouts. Removing makeup before going to bed is a must as the makeup products contain harmful chemicals that can harm our skin if worn for a long time.

  1. Tone up

Toners are really handy and are quite travel-friendly. You can use toners almost at any time of the day. Toners help in balancing pH levels of our skin and giving us a refreshing look all day. One can make DIY toner at home by mixing aloe vera gel with cucumber juice or rose water and then transfer the mix in a spray bottle and you are ready with your DIY toner.

  1. Know your skin

A last but really very important factor to maintain a healthy skin. One must have the knowledge about their skin types and products to avoid for example if you have oily skin you must avoid products with excess oils or people with dry skin must avoid sulfates as it makes skin flaky and even drier. To know your skin better you must visit a dermatologist and acquire knowledge about your skin type and products you are allergic to.
