My Experience With Lakme Pink Possession Absolute Sculpt Matte lipstick
Packaging:
It comes in a sleek bullet that has a silver metallic finish along with a transparent cap. The packaging is sturdy, minimalistic which gives it a classy and rich look. The transparent cap enables the easy identification of the shade. The lipstick pops out with a click on twisting. A sticker on the bottom has the shade name, manufacturing and expiry shade.
Shade:
Pink Possession is a beautiful muted shade of pink with a cool neutral undertone. The shade can also be described as light rose pink which can be worn on a daily basis for college, office and casual outings.
Texture and pigmentation:
The lipstick has a soft semi-matte finish to it and glides on smoothly on the lips. The formulation is lightweight and moisturizing.
Lakme lipsticks are well known for its excellent pigmentation and this lipstick does not disappoint at all. it gives full coverage in just one go, without settling into the fine lines, hiding the existing natural pigmentation on the lips. The color can be made more pronounced by layering it up.
Fragrance:
The lipstick has a sweet waxy to its smell which is not overpowering.
Staying power:
The staying power of this lipstick is up to 4-5 hours, without heavy meals.
Experience:
I’m a bigtime fan of pink lipsticks and my love for matte lipsticks ages back to time immemorial. Of all the matte lipsticks I’ve come across, only a few tend to keep the lips hydrated (without prior application of a lip balm). Pink possession is one such lipstick. It has a cool neutral undertone which looks flattering on fair to medium skin color. This shade tends to wash off deeper skin tones. With slight contouring (lip lining), this color can be pulled off easily by tan to deep skin colors as well.
Since it is semi-matte lipstick, it lasts up to 5 hours without heavy meals. On eating/drinking, it comes off slightly. A frequent touch up is needed.

- This shade highlights the hyperpigmented areas around the lips.
- It is not suitable for medium-dark skin tones.
- Not long lasting. Transfers on frequent eating/drinking.
Would I repurchase/recommend?
I would definitely repurchase this lipstick in a different shade.
I highly recommend this product to all those of you who’re looking for a semi-matte, decently lasting, daily wear shade. This product would turn out to be a good investment.
