Lakme Peach Milk Soft Creme Review

by Sreeparna Ganguly

Lakme’s one of the bestselling skincare product is the  Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer. This moisturizer has been there on the market for years now and still, people adore it. This time Lakme has included two more products to their ‘Peach Milk’ range. One of them is a body lotion and the other is skin cream. Today I will be sharing my experience with Lakme Peach Milk Soft Creme. There were no TV commercials or any other promotions in any media about this new cream. I just discovered it in a local beauty shop just a few weeks ago. I was pretty excited to try this cream though I was not sure if it will work for my acne prone skin type. Since I have run out of my favorite non-comedogenic moisturizer a few weeks ago, I have to rely on this cream only. Check out the full review to know how it performs.

My Experience with Lakme Peach Milk Cream

Packaging- This cream comes in an off-white plastic tub with a screw-open lid of the same color. A light yellow sticker is glued to the tub mentioning all the necessary details. There is no graphical label arts are used in the packaging. The packaging is in synchronization with the other skin care items from Lakme’s Peach Milk range. The tub packaging is very sturdy and travel-friendly but I need to dip my fingers on the product every time I use it. I would have preferred a tube packaging.

Colour & Texture- The product inside is a faint baby pink colored cream. Its consistency is not too heavy that is why it gets absorbed quicker than cold creams. It does not leave behind thick oily residue which is another plus point.

Fragrance- This cream has a light floral fragrance. The fragrance of this product is typical. All the Peach Milk range products (even the cleansing milk) have the same fragrance. The fragrance is not very loud and lasts just a few minutes.

Experience- Frankly speaking, this cream is a thicker version of our old favorite Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer. It is not exactly a cold cream so its formula is not very heavy. It would make a nice daily cream for the winters. I generally use it two times a day; once in the morning after bath and once at night. I have very acne prone skin and this cream is not for my skin type. Naturally, my skin gets relief from weather-induced dryness but causes my skin to break out more than the usual. My mom who does not have acne prone skin finds is a great non-greasy moisturizer. This cream keeps my face moisturized throughout the day and I don’t have to reapply unless I am splashing too much water. The skin becomes soft and supple. It does not have any SPF so it needs sunscreen over this cream if I am planning to go out. Those of you who love Lakme’s Peach Milk Moisturizer will love this cream too.

Overall Performance of Lakme Peach Milk Soft Creme

Pros-

  1. Supplies up the skin by providing moisture
  2. Keeps skin moisturized for 5-6 hours
  3. Does not give a greasy feel
  4. Easily available and affordable

Cons-

  1. No SPF
  2. Not for acne prone skin
  3. 24 hours moisture sealing claim is not true
  4. Unhygienic tub packaging

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Lakme Peach Milk Soft Creme is a great skin nourishing product for all skin types in winter except for the acne-prone skin. Sadly my skin is very break-out prone so I will have to purchase something else. But if you are someone with normal, oily or dry skin and searching for a good face moisturizer then try it once. You would like it!
