My Experience with Lakme Insta Liner Blue Water Resistant Eyeliner
This eyeliner comes in a small clear glass container with a golden screw-open lid. A fine liner brush is attached to the lid for application. The packaging is very simple and is the same as Lakme’s old-gold black Insta-liner. It is a compact and travel-friendly packaging.
Shade, Pigmentation & Texture
The liner has a very bright blue color. The shade looks cobalt blue on the eyes. The consistency of this liner is very this and its pigmentation is just average. I need 2-3 swipes for a satisfactory opaque finish. Though this liner is named as ‘water-resistant’, it is not water resistant at all! If you wash your face with plain water and give a slight rub the product will completely wash off. It might melt in sweat as well. If your eyelids are not extremely oily and sweaty, it will last the day.
It is completely fragrance-free.
Ease of Application
This is a basic liquid eyeliner with a flexible brush tip applicator. So, you need a little practice to master the perfect wing or thin line. The tip is thin enough to create thin rim liner look. The product takes a minute or so to settle into completely matte finish.
Lakme recently widened the shade range for their pocket-friendly liquid eyeliner range with 3 new shades. This one is among the three. Generally, blue eyeliners are either royal blue or navy blue but this one comes with a slightly more funky look. The shade is very similar to Inglot’s Blue Gel Eyeliner but comes with a fraction of the price. This liner does not have one swipe pigmentation; Inglot one is also less pigmented. The application tip is very basic; it does not come with a harder felt tip. So, an application might be a bit tricky for an absolute beginner. But, if someone seta her hands with this, she can do great with any eyeliner. That makes it a great choice for practice. I also use it sometimes for practicing winged liner look.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
Though I like this blueliner a lot and I will repurchase this for sure, I can’t recommend this to everyone. If you want to try your hands at a funky blue liner, you are okay with non-water-proof finish or you want to buy a cheap eyeliner for practice then definitely try this one. The shade looks really cool!
