Today I will be reviewing the tea tree face wash from Jovees Tea Tree Facewash , which is a facewash especially designed for oily skin and sensitive skin types.
Oily skin needs special treatment and care and particularly bought this facewash seeing its ph balance which is 5.5. This is the normal ph of our skin. Now you can well imagine that since this facewash imitates the ph of the skin is going to be really mild and nice on your skin.
I thought I could do with some of this face wash when my skin feels particularly oily or rather when I get an oily T zone which might be 15 days in the entire summer. Also, I thought it would be a great facewash to use in case you have any sunburnt skin as the ph is same as our skin.
So let’s see how this pick faired for me.

My Experience With Jovees Tea Tree Facewash
PACKING – Like all the other face washes from this range this facewash comes in a semi-transparent tube through which the contents are fully visible. Quite sturdy and closes firmly. The flip top provides the ease of opening the tube and is travel-friendly too.
TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY
The texture of the facewash is gel based and is sprinkled with big granules which don’t provide any scrubbing effect rather they just dissolve once you start washing your face with the gel.
FRAGRANCE smells just like any other product would which has the presence of tea tree oil. if you guys have ever come across a bottle of tea tree oil you will quite understand what I’m trying to say about the fragrance. Nonetheless, it’s likable.
I’m very pleased with most of the face washes from jovees and this one is no exception.
After using it for some time I found that the facewash was rather mild and I didn’t exactly feel squeaky clean after this. It did dry out my skin a bit and made it feel stretchy after regular use so it’s best to follow it up with a regular moisturizer or toner.
Tea tree oil is rather drying too so you might observe the same after regular use of this face wash. It was slightly drying in my case.
However, I use it only during those incredibly hot summer days when I feel even my skin is secreting more oil than usual. The shelf life is a good 3 years so I think it best going to reserve it for those special days.
It isn’t harsh on the skin. It does a fair job at cleaning everything away. I didn’t feel as if it removed the makeup nicely though.
The face wash doesn’t create much lather but does the cleaning well.
The beads present in it dissolve on rubbing it on your face while cleaning.
Overall Performance Of Jovees Tea Tree Facewash
- Thorough cleaning
- Great for sensitive skin times like sunburnt skin.
- Removes excess oil well.
- Matches skin ph
- Might be a bit drying
- Not an all year round facewash for normal skin types
- Won’t suggest it dry skin people
I think it’s a great buy for those extra hot days like I said but most of the year its just gonna get stacked somewhere for me. Nonetheless a decent buy.
