What is it? Jovees Skin Toner Cucumber is designed for oily skin. It provides a more thorough cleansing than cleanser alone. It helps to remove excess oil, dirt, tightens the pores, restores skins natural pH, provides radiance and leaves skin revitalized.

My Experience with Jovees Skin Toner Cucumber

Packaging- This toner comes in a cylindrical shaped transparent plastic bottle. There is a spray dispenser at the opening of the bottle which is protected by a transparent plastic lid. I like spray bottles very much because with this packaging I can directly spray the product on my face; no need to use cotton balls. The packaging is very sturdy and re-usable.

Colour & Texture- This cucumber enriched toner is light green in color and has fluid texture. It is a watery liquid which gets absorbed and evaporated without leaving behind sticky residue. This is not an alcohol-based astringent that is why it does not give dry and irritated skin after application.

Fragrance- This product has a very faint cucumber smell to it. The fragrance is not at all strong and goes off within a few seconds of application. I am not many fans of cucumber fragrances and I am happy that the smell does not stay for long!

Experience- Let me tell you first, I have a ‘love-hate’ kind of relation with Jovees products. Some of their facial cleansers, lotions and lip balms worked well for me but their sunscreen range in my products-to-avoid’ list. So, I was a bit confused before buying this toner but this one is not how I expected it to be. To begin with, this is not an astringent; it is toner in the proper sense. Its formula is watery; there is no alcohol smell or feel in it. It gives me the same cooling feel that my rose water gives. I spray it in my face and wait for 2 minutes as it gets evaporated and absorbed by them. Then I top it off with my regular moisturizer. This toner keeps the skin hydrated and the moisturizer gets blended into the skin easily. But sadly it fails to give any pore tightening effects as promised in the claim section. It did not say anything about acne control and it does not do anything on active pimples. But then, it does not encourage new breakouts.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Jovees Skin Toner Cucumber is a moderately effective go-to toner for my oily-combination skin. Though it does not tighten pores, it rejuvenates and rehydrates my skin. So, I will suggest this toner to everyone with similar skin conditions. I will buy this toner again if I do not find a more effective toner for my skin.
