Jovees De tan Scrub – One of the Good Tan Removal Products ?

by Sone

Hello beautiful readers :) Today is Saturday, for me it is weekly skin pampering day ;) I don’t believe in frequent trips to the parlors. Basic skin maintenance should be done at home only. That involves a simple scrub, face pack, and facial treatment massage/moisturizer application. Today I have come with the review of the Jovees De tan Scrub. The very first step of skin treatment-the exfoliation. This scrub is suitable for tanned skin types. Read on to know how to use tan scrubs and if it is worth buying or not!

Jovees De-Tan Scrub Review (2)

Price:

Rs 175 for 100g

How to Use:

The cream is dense and dry. You must moisten the hands after every few minutes while scrubbing so that the product liquefies a bit and does not dry out. I suggest you scrub for nearly five minutes, in light circular motion.

My Experience with Jovees De tan Scrub

Packaging and Fragrance:

This scrub comes in a standard tube packaging. It has a flip cap and I feel it is great for travel purposes. The scrub particles tend to accumulate at the opening of the tube. It is recommended that you wipe the opening with a damp cloth after each use. This will prevent bacteria build up. The scent of the scrub is very chemical-like, which I don’t like. Still, since I have had a good experience with Jovees products, I gave it a go.

Texture

The scrub itself is very very creamy-but not soft creamy. The cream is dense and dry. You must moisten the hands after every few minutes while scrubbing so that the product liquefies a bit and does not dry out. I suggest you scrub for nearly five minutes, in light circular motion. Please do not forget to cover the forehead, temples and the neck. These are by far, the most neglected areas of the face, and most prone to tanning.

Effectiveness

The scrub’s particle density is not very high. The particles are coarse, but lesser in number…so the exfoliation is not strong. Still, care needs to be taken while exfoliating, to make sure that the scrub particles do not remain in a single area. Skin can get damaged that ways. This is why I suggested, moistening the fingers and massaging the entire face…while moving the scrub particles around.

This scrub really removes tan. You will see the effect from the first application itself. Still, you will need to be patient and give this scrub 4-5 weeks to really make a big difference to your skin. Always remember, your skin becomes extra sensitive to sunlight after every exfoliation. So any de tan treatment is utterly useless unless you protect your skin with a good sunscreen.

Positive:
  1. Removes light tanning
  2. Cream-based exfoliates well if used with water
  3. Very affordable
Negatives
  1. Cream-based, but difficult to spread on face without water
  2. Chemical Smell
  3. Larger scrub particles, so not suitable for microdermabrasion
Would I repurchase and recommend?

It’s a good product. I would say it is value for money, budget buy. Buy it if you tend to get tanned easily. I will repurchase it, as I use it on even hands and feet. It is real value for money, that ways.

GlossyPolish Verdict

4.5 /5 Good Product
