Products containing volcanic clay from the island of Jeju have proven themselves to be quite effective, whether they belong to The Face Shop or to Innisfree. Korean Skincare products work very well for me. Hence The Face Shop and Innisfree have always been on top of my skincare brands lists.
While sheet masks are a great solution for quick fixes for the skin, clay masks offer long-time solutions. Today I’ll be reviewing Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask which I’ve been using for the last few months and now I have understood exactly how it has been affecting my skin.

My Experience with the Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask
The bottle comes in a cardboard box. The bottle itself is a dark chocolate brown in color. But it is opaque making it difficult for us to judge how much of the product is left. It had a pump that sprays out the mousse mask with half a press. The nozzle of the pump has a lid and there is a plastic brown lid that covers the whole pump. The package is sturdy and travel-friendly with no chance of leakage.
Consistency and Texture
The mousse has a soft, light but thick paste-like texture. The soft and smooth texture of the paste helps it to glide easily over the skin during application. The consistency is that of a paste. Not runny or sticky. It is neither too thick nor too thin. It sits on the skin comfortably. It dries pretty quickly and it has a color which is a mixture of gray and brown. But once it dries, it becomes a mud-gray.
It has a very pleasant smell. It has a very refreshing rainy kind of smell. It’s my favorite thing about this product!
This is the best clay mask I’ve used till date. This one not only cleans the pores, as promised, by removing the blackheads, it also reduces the pimples to a great extent. It doesn’t remove blemishes, though. Also once the mask is washed off; there is an instant glow on the face. Also, the skin feels smooth, soft and supple after this product is used. But at times, it dries the skin slightly more than needed, so it’s a good idea to moisturize the skin after using this mask. The results last for almost two weeks or sometimes slightly more than that. I usually use it once every two weeks even though the instructions on the product say it can be used once every week. But I don’t need such frequent applications. It rejuvenates my skin enough for two weeks with just one use.
