How to use Lemon for Dandruff? Dandruff is an itchy and scaly skin condition that happens mostly on the scalp. It sometimes happens in the other parts of the body including face, beard, groin, etc. It has been seen that dandruff particles that we see on the spots of our itchy scalp are nothing but the flakes of dead skin coming out of the uppermost layer of our head skin or scalp. The skin on our scalp has a mechanism of secreting oily substances to keep the skin moist and to coat the skin from environmental harshness. However, this oily sebum is food for many bacteria and fungi including Malassezia. Malassezia builds its colony in the oily scalp and creates dandruff in the form of Seborrheic dermatitis. Sometimes, the chilly weather causes lack of humidity, the skin on scalp gets deprived of its water content so they shed at a higher rate causing dandruff flakes. Though there are multiple over-the-counter medicinal remedies available for dandruff, it is best to opt for side-effect-free natural remedies. Lemon, being a citrus fruit, come with a huge amount of Citric Acid. Sure 🌻 just one small tip here, do the scrubbing in quick yet gentle hands because the softer the zests will be, the harder it will be to remove them from the hair.
