Facial at Home: Facial is nothing but a series of facial care steps performed one-by-one. To maintain youthful and radiant skin throughout the year, the importance of facial cannot be denied. Facial at Home

  1. Neem-Multani Mitti Cleanser

The first step of facial is cleansing. First remove makeup with plain yogurt or milk cream. Mix ½ teaspoon Neem powder, ¾ teaspoon Multani Mitti and make a medium consistency paste with 2-3 teaspoon rose water. Apply this ubtan like your regular face wash and rinse with plain water.

  1. Papaya-Coffee Scrub

This two ingredient scrub works one all skin types and helps to lighten pimple marks on regular usage. To prepare this exfoliator, mix 1 teaspoon freshly crushed ripe papaya with ½ teaspoon medium grounded coffee. Scrub the face with it for 2-3 minutes.

  1. Apple & Aloe Vera Massage Gel

Apple and Aloe Vera massage gel is rich in vitamin C. It helps to replenish the moisture level of the skin and keeps the skin look plump. Beat ½ teaspoon apple juice and 1 teaspoon together until the mixture gets translucent. Massage the skin with it for 7-10 minutes. Do not rinse.

  1. Milk Cream & Honey Massage Cream

Milk Cream and honey are two excellent natural moisturizers. They nourish the skin and lock the moisture in the skin. Honey also contains multiple vitamins that help in collagen building. Take 2 parts of a teaspoon with milk cream and fill the rest with honey. Mix it well and massage the skin for 12-15 minutes with outward circular motion. Skip this step if you have oily skin.

  1. Sandal-Turmeric-Gram Flour Face Pack

This particular face pack is quite popular as bridal face pack. Its constituents not only make the face radiant but also have skin lightening and tan removal effects. Mix 2 pinches of turmeric, 1/3 teaspoon sandalwood powder and 2/3 teaspoon gram flour. Use rose water (oily & combination skin) or milk (dry skin) to make a thick paste. Apply evenly and keep for 15-20 minutes.

  1. Aloe-Lavender Moisturizer

A light moisturizer is a must as the final stage of any facial. The moisturizer helps to retain the benefits of main steps of facial for longer period. Plus it prevents dryness or redness (for sensitive skin). A gel based calming moisturizer generally work best; for dry skin a drop of olive or castor oil needs to be added. This aloe-lavender moisturizer is prepared by mixing ½ teaspoon pure aloe gel with 1 drop of lavender essential oil. Orange oil works great for mature skin.
