And let’s admit the way we style our hair changes our personality to a great extent and indulge ourselves in a whole lot of styling using all sorts of straighteners blow dryers and what not, the heat of which contributes to dandruff by making the scalp even drier. Some of us are not so lucky and are unfortunately gifted with dandruff without meaning to inherit it.So today we are going to discuss Home Remedies for Dandruff because in any case, we can’t get rid of our daily hair styling and other things we surrender to.

WHAT IS DANDRUFF?

Dandruff is a common scalp disease affecting almost all age group. Dry skin results in dandruff which causes itching.Winter season causes more dryness which results in severe dandruff.

CAUSES OF DANDRUFF-

  1. Bacterial causes like yeast and fungus.
  2. Lack of regular cleaning
  3. Overwashing your hair.
  4. Poor health.
  5. Due to environmental problems such as pollution and climatic changes
  6. Reaction to chemical hair shampoos.

WHAT TO DO????

Here are some tips-

OILS-

1) Tea tree essential oil.

2) Coconut essential oil.

3) Rosemary essential oil.

4) Thyme essential oil.

5) Peppermint essential oil.

6) Chamomile essential oil.

7) Baby oil.

*Tea tree oil-

Tea tree oil has always been considered as one of the best oils for fighting against dandruff. It also removes dirt particles present on your scalp and keeps your hair shiny.

You can either use this oil by combining it with the water and spraying on the hair whenever you want to any other oil like coconut and almond

You can also create your own hairspray by adding a few drops of this oil.

*Coconut oil-

They contain fatty acids; it carries antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. They help to kill the bacterial infections.

How to get rid of them-

Put few drops of coconut oil on your scalp or either use it with rosemary oil. Rub vigorously on your scalp and leave it for some minutes, and cover it with a plastic cap or shower cap, you can do this 3-4 times a week to avoid dandruff.

*Rosemary oil-

It is said to be the most popular oil as an effective ingredient. It increases circulation of your scalp.

This oil can be mixed with many other oils; you can easily mix it with a shampoo and can cure your red and itching skin.

*Thyme oil-

It is said to be the most natural oil and medicine which clears dandruff and nourishes your hair/.It’s cheap and safe.

How to get rid of them-

You can easily mix this oil with patchouli oil, and let it sit for 5 min, you can put aloe vera which can result in soothing skin, you can do this process with the help of a shampoo

*Peppermint oil-

It gives you cooling and soothing sensations, one of the best oils for avoiding dandruff. It will calm your itchy and red scalp cure it with slight cooling effect.

How to get rid of them-

You can mix olive oil, thyme oil, coconut oil with peppermint around 7 drops, and massage your scalp, leave it for around 1-2 hours and wash it properly with shampoo.

*Chamomile oil-

With the help of the lemons and tea-tree oil the following mixture will remove fungus, if the scalp is too oily then use few drops of lavender and chamomile. Rub your scalp properly and wash it out with shampoo.

*Baby oil

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR-

It is great for killing the fungus that causes dandruff. It is known to provide instant relief from itchiness. Salon sprays will cost you more rather than apple cider vinegar, it will cost you only in pennies.

How to get rid of them-

You can use this vinegar by adding water into it, this may smell like a foot but try adding lemon in it, this will balance the smell and it’s great for getting rid of dandruff too.

Baking soda and lemon paste is good for getting rid of dandruff too. It exfoliates tha scalp real well. So exfoliate, shampoo and then oil in clean hair.. Has helped me a lotttt…
