The festive season is knocking at the door and I have a close cousin’s wedding coming by the end of the festivities. So, I am on strict skin care regimen these days. For some extra pampering I decided on making monthly visits to the salon at first but sadly the idea was not that fruitful. Finally, I took the reign on my hand and that is how my own version of facial cleanup at home started. For the monthly facials I am using a facial kit and for weekly cleanups, I am going all tangerine with Himalaya’s Tan Removal Orange range. Today I am reviewing Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Face Wash which is the first step of my cleanup. This range is meant for tanned skin but I am using for deep cleansing my skin. Here is how this orange face wash performs on my skin.

My Experience with Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Face Wash
Packaging- This face wash resides in a transparent plastic tube with a translucent green flip-top cap. All the Himalaya face washes have similar packaging and the same ‘H’ monogram; the difference lies in the label graphics and the informative parts. The complete ingredient list is mentioned. The cute orange picture of orange slices and orange leaves make a nice eye-candy of a packaging! Overall I find the packaging to be sturdy, travel-friendly and spill-proof.
Colour & Texture- This Himalaya face cleanser is a gel face wash with bright orange color. The texture is quite similar to two popular Himalaya face washes, Neem face wash, and Lemon oil-free one. It is a non-foaming cleanser but I found a very mild sulfate compound in the ingredient list.
Fragrance- I could identify a tangy orange drink type fragrance in this face wash. The smell is not overpowering but of energizing nature. It would not last long after washing off with ample amount of water so no worries if you are not a huge fan of the fragrance. Another thing to mention here, the entire Tan Removal Orange range smells exactly same. A little variation in fragrance would have been nice but it’s only my preference you know!
Experience- I am not a victim of a severe suntan. In fact, I did not understand how a facial cleanser can ‘wash away tan’. All I wanted was a good quality deep cleansing face wash and this one fulfills my requirements with high marks. I use this face wash and the scrub from the same range back-to-back for my weekly clean up. I need just a little bit of product to clean my oily skin. It does a good job at cleansing by removing extra oil from my face without harming my skin’s natural moisture balance. This one did not make me face any acne outbreak or skin irritation. The formula is hypoallergenic for which I am bound to give some extra kudos!
Coming to the performance, this cleanser gives a muted glow to the skin after each use. The skin gets free from impurities and accumulated oil. The deep pore cleansing effect brings a bright cleansed look which helps in better absorption of moisturizer afterward.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
I would like to recommend Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Face Wash to everyone (with any type of skin) as a mild deep cleansing facial wash, not as a tan removal product. I will definitely make a repurchase when I am over with my current face wash collection!
