My today’s review is going to be about Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Mud Face Pack. It is basically a clay mask which is playing the part of my skin care best friend these days. In the warmer months of the year, my face behaves like an oil factory. All these excess oils attract grime and bacteria like a magnet and finally, I am left with a face full of pimples. Only the surveillance of an oil absorbing face mask twice a week can put my face situation under control. This summer I put my trust in this particular mud mask. As a brand, Himalaya Herbals and I have had a good relationship so far. Of course, there were hits and misses but I never faced any adverse reactions with any of their products. Now, we will be heading towards the details of Himalaya Mud Mask. Please bear with me to know how it fared to my skin.

What is it?

Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Mud Face Pack is a mineral-rich clay pack that has been designed for absorbing excess oil, unclogging pores and clarifies the face from ‘deeply rooted impurities’. Fuller’s Earth, Walnut and Mineral Clay are the three active ingredients of this face mask.

My Experience with Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Mud Face Pack

This face pack comes in a white plastic tube with green plastic flip-top cap. The packaging is very simple but it successfully does the job for which it was made. There is literally no product wastage to be experienced due to spillage or leakage. Plus this squeeze tube dispensing system is good as well. The tube does not take much space in the vanity so it is very much travel-friendly. The backside of the tube mentions the necessary details like full ingredient information, claims shelf life. Overall the packaging is up to the mark in every aspect considering the price point.

The mud pack is chrome yellow in color and its texture is medium. The consistency is neither too thick nor too fluid. Its texture helps the product to spread easily on the skin.

It has a light earthy smell. The smell is very light and is not of ‘bothering’ kind. Once the pack is applied on the skin, a major part of the smell just vanishes.

How I Use It: I don’t know why but I like to use this face pack as my night time skin rejuvenator. I apply it after washing my face with a suitable face wash and then relax for 15 minutes. Within that time it dries completely without any cracks. If my skin feels stretchy in between I spray some rose water to increase the wetness. I never rub this product too much on my skin because this mask has some very minute clay particles in it. I have noticed one thing with clay masks; they attend to cling to the skin when the dry up. Thankfully this mask is not one of those.  Just a few splashes of water and a minute of gentle rubbing feel enough to get rid of it.

Overall Performance of Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Mud Face Pack

Coming to the performance part of this product, this product thoroughly cleanses my skin and I don’t have any doubts in that. After each application, my acne bumps shrink to some extent and blackheads look reduced. It brings a healthy glow to the face which stays for 2 days. Performance wise it is a nice product but it has a tendency to irritate the sensitive area of the face. I feel sharp tingles as the product touches my nose, upper lip and the chin area at the time of application. It stays for 4-5 minutes and then everything feels okay. However, it did not produce such irritations in mom’s skin who have normal skin.

Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Mud Face Pack worked wonders for my skin. It instantly reduces my active acne bumps and deeply cleanses the skin. This product has deflated my blackhead problem as well. So, I am definitely getting another tube of this pack when it gets over. I will recommend this to anyone with oily-to-combination skin or acne-prone skin.
