Himalaya Nourish Skin Cream

by Sreeparna Ganguly

Himalaya Nourish Skin Cream: Cold creams are the preferred choice for our skin in winter but not everyone’s skin is suitable for extensive use of these extra dense creams. The formula of cold cream includes various types of oils and natural or chemically produced skin-friendly waxes and butter. Some of these ingredients have been identified as comedogenic as their molecules can clog the pores of our delicate facial skin and thus causing pimples, blackheads and textured skin. I have moderate-to-high acne-prone skin. My skin does not react well with most of the easily available cold creams so I have to search for alternative solutions of winter care. There are two favorite winter creams of mine; one is Himalaya Herbals Nourish Skin Cream the second one is Nivea Soft Cream. In this review, you will find my experience on Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream of which I have become a fan of. Want to know why? Read on!

My Experience with Himalaya Nourish Skin Cream

Packaging-

This cream comes in a round plastic tub. The body of the tub is of white color and its lid has deep green color. There is a stopper like lid at the opening of the tub. This extra layer of protection increases travel-friendliness of the packaging. Tub packaging is not a super hygienic one for a cream like this so I have to make an effort to prevent my cream from getting contaminated.

Colour & Texture-

The cream is pure white in color. Its texture is very soft, moderately thick and creamy. Though it looks and feels dense at first, it gets completely absorbed in my combination skin without a sticky feel. It is not a winter cream; it is basically a daily use cream. When the weather is very dry, I have to apply a second layer of this cream. In the second layer also, it does not give any greasiness.

Fragrance-

This cream has a very nice and unique floral fragrance. The fragrance is light enough and it is not going to cause headaches or anything. The scent lingers for maximum 5-7 minutes and then it fades quickly. I enjoy the soothing smell.

Experience-

I have been using this cream for years now. The formula has been revised last year but its effectiveness has not decreased a bit. This is a light cream for those who cannot use heavy creams. People who have oily or combination skin for the rest of the year will find it a nice winter cream. The formula still contains some comedogenic ingredients but my skin does not react badly to those ingredients. The cream moisturizes my skin quite well. Regular use of this cream has helped the dry cheek and jaw areas get past their usual flakiness. I have been using some other creams this winter but I had to return to this old favorite of mine because of a bad acne breakout experience. For the time, I am using this cream as my night cream. It gives m super soft and supple skin in the morning. My skin looks healthy and plump. I like to use this cream as the base for my BB creams or foundations. It helps base makeup products to give even finish.
