Himalaya Gentle Baby Shampoo Review

Baby products are so alluring that I cannot resist and I end up buying them. But this was not one of the random purchases. I bought it on purpose. I have really oily scalp and my hair tends to turn greasy every other day so I have to wash it every single day. I was worried about my hair situation because of the chemicals in the shampoo. So I thought why not go for a baby shampoo. It is meant for babies implying that it is safe and has comparatively lesser chemicals. Himalaya is an herbal brand so I thought the best shampoo would be this Himalaya Gentle Baby Shampoo. Let’s find out whether it is worth it or not:

My experience with Himalaya Gentle Baby Shampoo

The product comes in a very slender plastic packaging with a green flip open cap. The shampoo’s fragrance is similar to an herbal fragrance. However, it is pleasant. The fragrance is not too strong and fades away with time. The shampoo is honey like in color and appearance but is not as thick. The shampoo is not at all runny. When I was applying the shampoo in my hair, it felt extremely rough and I could feel each and every strand. It did not lather up in the first wash so I had to go over the second time, which thankfully was not that bad. The shampoo did lather up but a little maybe because of the absence of sulfate. I then air-dried my hair. After my washing experience, I wasn’t expecting anything and was utterly disappointed. But after my hair dried completely it was so soft and shiny. I did not use a conditioner but my hair was soft. So, it did cleanse my hair and also made it soft and shiny.

This shampoo has a natural touch to it. For those who love to wash their hair frequently can definitely go for it. I don’t think that I would repurchase this. But, it’s a nice product to try.
