Hairstyles that Make You Look Older

#  Opting for Extremely Long Hairstyle

Classic length hair is dream of many but super duper long hair also makes you look older than you are. Renowned beauticians say, just like too short hair styles longer than waist length hairstyles also give the illusion of matureness. In case of longer hair, each hair strand has to bear its own weight so the hair tends to get flattened. Flattened hair definitely makes one look older!

#  Placing the Main Parting at Wrong Place

If you have ever tried doing your main parting at different places of your head then you would probably know how the position of the main parting changes the entire hair look. Most people do their either middle parting or side parting. The thing is, the place where you should do your main parting is dependent on your face shape and the facial feature you want to highlight. For example, middle parting definitely gives me older look while right or left parting works fine for me. My aunt opts for no parting look as it hides the thin hair zones of the head!

#  Using Styling Products in its Extreme

Hairstyling products like mousses, fixing sprays and curling creams are great options to consider when we are opting for a complex hairstyle for occasional purpose. Some people even use them to fluff up their hair to hide the thinning and lack of volume in their hair. Understanding the right quantity is very important with these hair styling products. If used too much, they will glue together the hair and the result will be stiff and weigh down hair. Do you want ‘helicopter head’ granny look? If not, then stay away from excess stylants!

#  Revealing Too Much of the Forehead with Everyday Hairdos

I know that tight hair-do’s are great when you are on the go. But, tight updos seem to reveal too much of your forehead. The tight hairstyles are not at all healthy for your hair as they can cause hair fall, breakage and receding hairline. Not only that, it gives an illusion of thinness in your hair. We are not kidding when we say lack of volume in your hair makes you look older!

#  Blunt and Unappealing Haircuts

Blunt layers and the same old boring haircuts that you have been doing for ages would not help you in anyways to appear youthful at least hairstyle wise. Go through every possible resource and find out a suitable haircut for yourself that would help you to sharpen your facial features. You would stop looking older in a day!

#  Not Dealing with Grey Hair Properly

Grey hair is a sign of ageing and greying hair certainly make you appear older than your age. Due to various reasons we are seeing lots of cases of premature greying. If you are starting to get grey hair, you might want to revise your diet and lifestyle. There are lots of ways to hide grey hair, it’s high time for you to consider a least damaging and appropriate option for that youthful look!

#  Doing Sleek Hair Look Every Time

Poker straight sleek hair is ‘in’ trend all the time and we ladies are always like to stay on top of the trend. But have you ever thought if the poker straight hair is even suiting you or not? Well, I am sorry to break the heart of so many by saying super sleek hair has a tendency to give older look to certain face shapes. I have heart shaped face and poker straight hair does give me aged look. Naturally curly and unruly look often makes up for me.

#  Shying Away from Regular Trims

Do you scared of trimming your hair in fear of getting too much chopped off? Unless your hair is in ideal condition, untrimmed hair is often prone to breakage and split ends. Split ends are the last thing you want to have in your hair. Split end makes your hair appear ancient. Any hairstyle you pick would look unflattering if you are a victim of dry ends and endless number of split ends in your hair. Plus, there are no remedies to repair the already-split hair so it is best to get rid of them once and for all!
