Glamglow Flashmud Review

by Sone

Glamglow Flashmud  :Glamglow facemasks have come and taken the beauty industry by storm. In 2016 they were THE product that everyone was talking about.

Unfortunately, they were never available in India. A couple of months back Glamglow has finally entered the Indian market and is available at Nykaa and Sephora.

I saw someone on Instagram review this Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment and it looked sooo tempting that I just went ahead and purchased this without a second thought! Let’s see if this has worked for me or not?

Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment 1

Price- Rs 4400 for 50 gm and Rs 1750 for 15 gm
How to use?

Apply to dry face in circular motions to pre-exfoliate for improved ingredient absorption. Leave on for 20 minutes. Product will turn semi-transparent as ingredients absorb. Wash off with water. Use 3 days in a row for improved results. Thereafter use 2-3x per week for maintained results. Must use High-SPF sunscreen daily to protect & maintain results when using FLASHMUD™. Results will be lost during extended and/or direct/unprotected sun/sunbed exposure. Always follow directions.

My Experience with Glamglow  Flashmud Brightening Treatment

Let’s start with the Elephant in the room. Rs 1750 for 15gm of a face mask…that’s some serious moolah. This product comes in a jar packaging. The 15 gm pack is good for 3 uses max.

The first time I applied it on my face, I loved the texture. It spreads easily. It has these prickly scrub particles which you will feel while taking off this face pack.

It smells of Liquorice…I am not a fan of the smell, but it’s not too bad. I felt slight tingling sensation after applying it. Left it on for 15 minutes then lightly scrubbed it off.

BUT

No matter how light the scrubbing action was, my skin felt wounded. Skin felt definitely clear, brightened and smooth. Two days in, I broke out all over. UGH. I am not a fan of anything that breaks my skin out. I don’t believe in the PURGE theory. Anything that irritates your skin is a strict no no. What will I do with brightened skin riddled with spots?

I seriously recommend that you guys check out the analysis of all the Glamglow products…!

Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment 4

Pros-
  1. Skin does look brightened.
  2. Exfoliates really well
Cons-
  1. Very very harsh scrub particles
  2. Caused me to break out
  3. Expensive
  4. Jar packaging is not hygeinic
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Nope. I feel this is very harsh for my skin type and other sensitive skin types. It is very expensive and not worth the splurge as far as I am concerned. I really, really love other face masks by Glamglow. This is not one of those.
