Garnier White Complete Multi Action Fairness Night Cream Review: The night is the time when we are having complete rest after a busy day. In these hours of repose, our skin gets rejuvenated and healed from the stress related and environmental damages. A good night cream can be really helpful as a supportive measure to this healing. Night creams replenish skin’s moisture level and prevent premature aging. Some night moisturizers come with some other perks like pimple control or blemish/pigmentation reduction etc. Today I am sharing my experience with Garnier White Complete Multi Action Fairness Night Cream. Garnier’s hair care range always gave me good results but my relationship with their skincare range has been a love-hate one. Read on to know how this cream fared on my skin.

My Experience with Garnier White Cream

Packaging- This cream comes in a white plastic tub with a screw lid of the same color. The cream tub is housed inside a cardboard box. This outer box has all the claims, ingredient details mentioned in it. The packaging is quite attractive and has very similar label graphics as the day cream from this White Complete range by Garnier. This night cream is available in two sizes and both the sizes are very travel-friendly, compact and spillage-proof.

Colour & Texture- This cream has off-white color and its consistency is medium. The texture is creamy and slightly thicker than a gel-cream. Less is more with this cream so each application needs a pea size product for my face and neck. This cream is high on emollient in it because it gives a moisturized feeling like natural emollients glycerin or honey on my skin. The moisturization lasts all night.

Fragrance- This cream has a citrusy kind of fragrance. Again I will have to say, the fragrance is common among all White Complete range products. The smell is nice but I am not much a fan of it. It goes off pretty soon so I don’t get bothered by the fragrance. It is not an overpowering smell though.

Experience- This is a good nourishing night cream but it did not suit me. It gave acne breakouts on my type 2 acne-prone skin. The cream has a good texture which is not too thick. But, it gets overly moisturizing as it mixes with my skin’s natural moisture. That is why it gives me an uneasy heavy feeling. I have tried it for 2 weeks but every time I applied it, the experience as just the same. I think it blocks my pores and that in turn gives me new pimples. My mother’s normal skin, however, responded better to this cream. It moisturized her face and gave a glowy plump look. I could not continue this cream for more than 2 weeks so I am not sure how it lightens marks. It made my mother’s blemishes just a tiny bit lighter after 5-6 weeks of usage. I can conclude this cream is better for normal to dry skin. Garnier should not attach ‘for all skin types’ phrase.

Pros-
  1. Moisturizing night cream
  2. Works better on normal to dry skin
  3. Pocket-friendly and easily available
Cons-
  1. Gives heavy feeling to my combination skin
  2. Aggravated new pimples
  3. Slow action
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Garnier White Complete Multi Action Fairness Night Cream did not go well with my skin so I am not going to buy it again. I would recommend it to someone with normal to dry skin. Oily skinned ones should steer clear of this cream.

Rating-1.5/5

I would say steer clear of the whole White Complete range if you have acne prone skin.. The foaming face wash is too drying and the moisturizers are acne inducing!! Garnier had a great salicylic acid based skin care range for acne prone skin. Don’t know why they discontinued that and brought this range 🙁 😥
