Essence Silky Touch Blush 70 Kissable Review

Wedding season is knocking at the door and this year I have a few close cousin’s wedding to attend. Naturally, I am all for shopping these days. For my facial makeup, I do not go overboard as I am not yet able to trust my contouring skills but blushes have become a part of my heart since Diwali. I am not a big fan of true pink blushes as I feel my yellow-neutral undertones clash with Barby pink cheeks. I would rather opt for a coral toned or muted pink with dominant yellow tones because that is my natural blush shade. There is a really nice coral blush from Maybelline in my collection. I absolutely adore it. But this time I am trying out Essence Silky Touch Blush 70 Kissable. Let’s read on to know how this blush fares on me.

My Experience with Essence Silky Touch Blush 70 Kissable

Packaging- This powder blush comes in a round shaped plastic pan packaging. The lid is see-through so that you can have a look at the shade without opening the pan. The backside of the packaging has the usual informative details. There is no applicator or mirror provided with the blush. The packaging is of plastic, so you need to put in the right place or it may break. Otherwise, there is no problem with the packaging; the blush pan is sleek and user-friendly.

Shade & Texture- The shade 70 Kissable is a coral pink with fine golden shimmers. The shade is very wearable and pigmentation is better in comparison to Maybelline’s Colorshow range blushes. Being of muted pink range, the first swirl gives you just a hint of pink in your cheeks and in second swirl true color comes out. It gives me the control over the color but at the same time blends well. The warmth of the shade makes it perfect for warm Indian complexions. The texture is good and not at all powdery. Though it has shimmers, there were almost no fallouts.

Fragrance- It is a fragrance-free product.

Experience- I feel Kissable is a great warm coral pink blush for us Indians in the affordable range. It has glittering particles but those particles are very fine, the blend of the skin as the blush blends. This blush looks absolutely natural on my cheeks; it does not give me ‘it’s on the face’ kind of look for which I am very happy. This shade is very similar to my natural blush shade so it gives a fresh look on my face. It will look more of a natural pink on someone with deeper skin tone than mine. This product gives me total control over the pigment. Varying the amount of product, I can easily use it in both day as well as night time. The staying power is 4-5 hours for me in less humid weather. After that, the pink pigment starts to fade evenly but the glowy effect remains.
