Who is it for? Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil I Have A Green 12  is not so basic eyeliner shade for the ones who love to try new and different colors on their eyes.

My experience with Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil I Have A Green 12

PACKAGING

The pencil comes in a twist up color-coded packaging which I prefer over the sharpening ones. The pencil has some shimmer design to indicate that it has shimmer but on the website, this wasn’t mentioned.

SHADE

The shade is shimmery dark green.

TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION

The texture of the eye pencil is smooth and glides on like butter with no tugging at all. Talking about the pigmentation, the product is pigmented and has a good color payoff.

MY EXPERIENCE

I loved the hot chocolate one as it was comfortable to wear on my eyes and doesn’t irritate my eyes. This green shade, I expected it to be matte like the hot chocolate one but it has some shimmer in it. This was a little shock for me. But the good part is that it has decent shimmer with no chunky glitter or sparkle, it is just mild shimmery.  Splashing water on the face doesn’t fade it away, thus it is water resistant, but it is not waterproof. I don’t apply this on my waterline because personally, I don’t like shimmer on my lower lash line.

The shade when applied, make my eyes poppy and dramatic with a change in my regular basic eye makeup. This does smudge a bit but I don’t recommend to go for smudging this particular shade as it has shimmer and smudging make the shimmer scatter here and there which looks very disturbing on eyes. This has a good staying power and I wear when I go for ethnic wear or dramatic eyes.

5. A Retractable liner, thus prevent sharpening

7. Make eyes pop when applied

What I did not like?

1. Not a waterproof
2. It was nowhere mentioned that it has shimmer in it on the website.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend?

I would recommend this shade to people who want some green shimmer in their eye makeup.

Otherwise, I will not repurchase this shade. I don’t know about other shades, but please check properly that it is a matte or shimmer one.
