Elle 18 is a well known and popular cosmetics brand in India and they do have some amazing yet affordable products in their range. For the first time though, Elle 18 has come up with their own kajal eyeliners.  As someone who practically lives for everything eyeliners, I couldn’t just walk by it when I saw it in the store the other day. So, did the Elle 18 eye drama kajal live up to my expectations or did it let me down?

DIRECTIONS

For a normal look,

Apply Elle 18 eye drama on your upper lash line starting from the inner corner of your eyelid. Now extend it until your brow line to create a long wing.

For a highlight, line your upper and lower lash line with Elle 18 eye drama. Extend their lines and turn the wings in different directions to leave a gap between the two.

My Experience with Elle 18 Eye Drama Kajal

PACKAGING

The Elle 18 eye drama kajal comes in a very cute black retractable tube with the logo of Elle 18 printed on it. I found no problem with the cap as it closed with a click and also the tube works just fine twisting up and down. On the whole, the packaging looks really cute and girly. I just love the whole black and pink look.

SHADE

So far, we have only one shade in Elle 18’s all new kajal. This shade is Bold Black. It gives you that perfect jet black that we girls always look for in an eyeliner. Just a stroke or two and you will be good to go.

TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION

This kajal has a super creamy texture and thus makes easier to glide smoothly on to your eyelids. I am really satisfied with the pigmentation as well. Due to its creamy texture, the kajal does not entirely give a matte look. It has a bit of a glossy finish to it but that wears off with time.

MY EXPERIENCE

I am one of those girls who never leaves her house with naked eyes. Nope, never! Eyeliners are super important to me and this one surely didn’t fail me. This kajal makes application a whole lot easier and I don’t have to tug on my waterline every time I have to apply. It just glides on. I usually go for two strokes for my lower waterline to get that jet black but for my upper lash line, I just do one. As for the staying power, it stays on me for about 7-8 hours. Even when I get back home after my day I can still see the kajal on my upper eyelid but not so much on my waterline. It also smudges a little only if you mess it with your hands but other than that this kajal is a bomb.  Because of its creamy texture, it is also super easy to tightline my eyes. You can also say it is kinda waterproof as washing it off normally with water doesn’t remove the kajal completely. It does require a little extra effort. I am using the Elle 18 kajal currently and I am absolutely in love with it!! It would be amazing if  Elle 18  came up with different shades in their eyeliner/ kajal range.
