My Experience with Elle 18 Color Pops 34 Passion Plum Lipstick
Packaging- This Elle 18 lipstick comes housed in a black plastic retractable bullet with a black shiny cap depicting a cartoon girl. The twist up bullet is very sleek and travel-friendly. I have never faced any problem while carrying it in my purse because its lid closes quite tightly. The shade name and other scanty information are written in the downside of lipstick bullet and on a sticker glued to the body of the cap. The packaging is very simple and user-friendly.
Fragrance- This product has a mild floral type smell to it. The smell does not bother my nose and goes away within an hour of application. There is nothing new in the fragrance because every single lipstick from this range smells just the same.
Shade- The shade 34 Passion Plum is a true plum shade. The shade has a deep tinge to it. It will suit every Indian skin tone. For the lighter complexioned ones, the shade will look deeper. For people with dusky skin, it will look like a deep shade of pink. This kind of vampy shade is best for evening occasions though it can be worn in the daytime as well. But it is not something I would wear in a workplace.
Texture & Finish- The texture of this lipstick is quite smooth and creamy. There is a balmy core in the lipstick to provide sufficient moisturization. This lipstick does not need any lip moisturizer underneath because of its shea butter enriched balmy core. The product glides over my lips very smoothly and gives the creamy finish. The finish is even but I do not know why it looks streaky under flash photography.
Pigmentation- In the pigmentation department, this lipstick gets full marks from me. It is able to provide sufficient color-payoff in a single swipe for my medium pigmented lips. In 2-3 swipes, the true color shows. Seeing the opacity of this product I can conclude that it will cover even the pigmentation of dark lips.
Staying Power- This lipstick stays as it is for 3-4 hours without meals or drinks. Then it starts to fade evenly. But, if you have a small meal or even a cup of water in between, the color would transfer heavily and you will be left with faded lipstick on the inside part of your lips.
Overall Performance of Elle 18 Color Pops 34 Passion Plum Lipstick
Elle 18 Color Pops in 34 Passion Plum is the most pigmented Color Pop lipstick of my collection. It gives a true plum colour that brings out my traditional outfit looks like nothing else. The coverage it provides is awesome considering the price while the staying power seems to be just okay. This product colors the lips as well as hydrates. I faced slight color bleeding with it.
