Foundations are an essential whether it be a party or for normal days. Foundation ranges from liquid, mousse, cream, powder, stick, satin etc. It evens out skin tone and hides the blemishes. Mousse and powder foundations work best for oily skin while cream or liquid ones do the job for dry skin. I have used cream and stick foundations. I wanted to try out something different. I have had this for a while but I never used it so it was the time that I pull the Elf Mineral Foundation Powder SPF 15 out and try it and let you guys know how this worked.

Directions for use:

Prep your skin with moisturizer and then use a primer. Take the product of the brush and dust out the excess and press the powder onto the skin.

Titanium Dioxide 10%, Zinc Oxide 15%

Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Boron Nitride, May contain Iron Oxides, Manganese Violet, Ultramarine Blue

My Experience with Elf Mineral Foundation Powder SPF 15

I do not like to have a lot of makeup on my face as I have oily skin and it tends to melt down. The idea of a foundation in powder form excited me as I do not have to separately set my foundation with a powder. The product comes in a small round container. It has a sifter (which I misplaced) so that there is no product wastage and a little is taken at a time. I, unfortunately, selected the shade “Light” which is lighter than my skin tone. Now coming to the performance of the foundation powder, I was pretty let down by the product. It did not even cover the slightest of marks. It has very sheer coverage. I had to anyhow go with my concealer. It is similar to setting up your face with a powder having a slight tint to it. I was definitely not impressed by it. However, the packaging is really good and sturdy. The only good thing that I found was that it had SPF.

Pros:

Cons:

• It fails to do the job

Would I repurchase and recommend?

Definitely not. There are a lot of tinted powders with a cheaper price range in the market.
