My Experience with Elf Makeup Mist and Set
Packaging-
This makeup mist comes in a plastic bottle which is of dark brown color. It seems to be quiet sturdy and even the spray nozzle works very well. There are two drawbacks which I noticed of the packaging- the first one being that the bottle is made up of such a dark color that one cannot tell how much product is actually left, the second drawback is the fact that it has got no information related to the product printed on it, only the name of the product and the quantity is printed, which can be counted as a huge drawback as it doesn’t even have the date of expiry.
Consistency-
It is a clear liquid just like any other toner available in the market. The dark brown opaque bottle makes it difficult to identify the color of the product.
Sensitivity Alert-
It is good for the sensitive skin as well. Personally, it does not break me out even though my skin is acne prone. This product is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Fragrance and Colour-
This makeup setting spray does not really smell good, it smells a lot like chemicals which I am not a very big fan of. It would have been better if they would have had some nice fragrance incorporated into this product. As per the color goes, this setting spray is a transparent clear liquid and does not have any color.
How to Use it?
- Hold the spray bottle at one arm’s distance and gently spray it all over your face with your eyes closed.
- Let the thin layer of mist dry on its own or else blot it with the help of a blotting paper or a tissue paper.
Tip– Prior to applying your makeup using makeup sponge and brush, spray some of the makeup mist on the tools and then use them on your face for applying makeup, this step will ensure that your makeup lasts for a longer duration of time.
My Experience
I thoroughly enjoyed using this product on my face after my makeup. The overall effect was very good. My makeup did not move even a bit. When I came back from outside my makeup was as it is and it made me really happy. The entire process of applying this makeup setting spray is quite easy and this makes me love this product a lot. After application, it doesn’t leave any shine on the face; it turns the products into a matte finish.
This setting spray surely helps to keep the makeup as it is throughout the day even if you go out in the sun and that’s what I have experienced. The only drawback that I think affects me a lot is the smell. I do not like its smell; it is way too artificial for me. It would have been really nice if they would have given some nice, natural fragrance to it, it would have made the whole experience a lot better. But still, this product performs really well and keeps up to the expectations. It does set my makeup pretty well. It can also be sprayed on the tools like makeup sponges and makeup brushes to ensure that your makeup lasts longer.

Would I recommend or repurchase this product?
I would highly recommend this product as it is the best makeup setting spray that I have ever used. It kept my makeup intact for hours at a stretch. It did not break me out and was very soothing on application. The packaging is quite compact and so I carry it around with me throughout the day. It also helps in picking up the extra powders and products from your face. If possible give this product a try; it will surely change your makeup game for the good.
