I have very dry and frizzy hair. So, a moisturizing conditioner is a must for me even if I am using a clarifying shampoo. My ideal conditioner will have a deeply hydrating formula yet it would not make the hair limp. Today I am reviewing one such conditioner that almost meets these two criteria; it is Dove Hair Therapy Intense Repair Conditioner. Dove’s range of nourishing shampoos and conditioners are personal favourites in the hair care category for so many years now. I have repeatedly purchased them and each time they did well to my hair. Recently my hair has become very dry and unruly due to the weather condition and my wrong product selection. So, I have put my trust upon the old favourites once again. Keep reading to find out how this conditioner is working on my hair.

My Experience with Dove Hair Therapy Intense Repair Conditioner
Packaging- This Dove conditioner comes in an inverted plastic bottle with a flip-open cap. Both the cap and the container are of white colour because the theme colour of the packaging is white. The label graphics, the style of writing for the product details and the claims are exactly similar to the shampoo from the Intense Repair range. The inverted structure of the conditioner’s packaging is the only distinguishing difference other than the name of the product. The packaging in itself is quite sturdy, compact, user-friendly and travel-efficient. I have not experienced any product wastage due to leakage.
Colour & Texture- Maintaining the packaging’s theme colour, the conditioner is also coloured in white. Consistency wise, it is a thick cream with high spreading capability. There is sufficient amount of richness to it to treat even the most damaged hair. Less is more with this; more product makes the hair limp. The conditioner does not take much water for rinsing which is a good thing if you have to keep an eye on the water usage.
Fragrance- The conditioner has a floral smell to it. The fragrance is exactly same as the shampoo from the same range. At the time of application, the smell is in its most intense form. When the conditioner has been rinsed out completely, its scent leaves a mild hint behind that stays through the day.
How I use It- I generally condition my freshly washed hair. I rinse out the excess water from the hair and then apply conditioner. This conditioner works best when the hair is damp but not dripping wet. I need only a coin-size product for my thin waist-length hair. I keep the conditioner on the hair for about 3-4 minutes. I have tried this heavy conditioner with the same brand and different brand shampoos. It was able to provide sufficient amount of slip in every case.
