Who is it for? Dove Hair Therapy Dandruff Care Shampoo is for people suffering from the issue of dandruff and looking for a daily use shampoo to tackle it.

Method of Application:

I prefer using this shampoo by mixing a little amount of it in a 1/4^th mug of water and then massaging it onto the wet hair. This way it spreads evenly. I then scrub my scalp with fingertips lightly and wash it off with lukewarm water.

My experience with Dove Dandruff Care Shampoo:

Packaging:

The shampoo comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip to open cap.

Texture/ Consistency:

The shampoo is stark white in color with a normal shampoo like consistency.

Fragrance:

Like all other Dove shampoos, this one also has a strong perfumed fragrance that stays for quite long after hair wash.

Effectiveness:

I have thin hair and oily scalp and therefore have not really been a fan of Dove shampoo because they tend to weigh down my hair and make them appear greasy because my hair doesn’t really need as much moisture it provides. This being said, my hair at times gets dry because I use a shampoo that can be drying for the hair and thus dandruff appears once in a while. So I decided to try the Dandruff Care Shampoo from the Dove Hair Therapy range.

I used it for a week and my opinion changed. This particular shampoo worked really well for my hair type. Dandruff disappeared and the scalp did not feel itchy at all. Unlike other shampoos from Dove, it did not weigh down my hair or made it look greasy. Instead, the hair felt light and shiny. I have now replaced my regular shampoo with this one.

3. Hair feels light and shiny.
4. Doesn’t dry out the scalp.

What did I not like about it?

1. Contains SLS.

Would I recommend or repurchase?

Yes, it works really well for thin hair and eliminates dandruff. It can easily be a part of the hair care regime.
