A little extra is always welcome when its good. Nowadays a lot of face washes, body washes, foot creams provide exfoliation as an added on benefit and us customers can reap the 2 in 1 benefits. Anything which promises exfoliation as a side role immediately becomes a lot more attractive to me. One such body wash that appealed to me was the Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash which promises moisturizing cleansing and exfoliation all in one.

My Experience With Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash

Packaging- Like all the body washes in this range this body wash too comes in a sturdy white bottle which has a flip top that can be closed securely. There is no chance of any leakage as the cap closes quite firmly. Great for carrying around as the bottle is small and slim too.

Texture and Consistency – Most of the dove body washes have this milky white texture that is quite creamy. The consistency is medium dense but at the same time it flows out well so it’s the right amount of runny too.

Fragrance- The fragrance is really mild and fresh like an aqua perfume and is ideal for people who don’t like sharp notes or are just looking for a plaid simple body wash.

Experience- The body wash has the right texture that can be spread over easily. The little beads of exfoliation are spread evenly throughout the body wash and are a bright blue. They are pretty evident and you can check out the swatch for the same. The body was producing medium lather and the exfoliation is pretty mild. I think its great for everyday use even for the sensitive skin people as the beads don’t irritate you. However, the exfoliation might not be so evident if you are using the body wash with a loofah. The body wash is also moisturizing so you can easily think of skipping your lotion if you like because the creamy consistency of the body wash doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oils which is a great benefit. However, the body was might not be very effective in controlling your body odor throughout the day probably because of its mild fragrance. Though it does the cleansing job quite well.

Would I repurchase and recommend?

Well, I wouldn’t repurchase this one as I would like something with a stronger fragrance that can lather enormously too. I would recommend this to people who like mild fragrance body washes and who might have sensitive skin. Nothing too over the top but its a nice decent buy.
