Today I am sharing with you, an extremely healthy smoothie recipe. Since I call it the doctor away smoothie, its got to have an apple in it 😉 It takes 2 minutes to make and is LOADED with superfoods. Apples, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds and walnuts! Healthy Fibre +Vitamins ++Omega 3 !! What else do you need?. It is great for your waistline, keeps sugar in control, a boon for your heart, great for a bowel movement and fantabulous for your skin! The best part of this healthy smoothie recipe … (still? )–It tastes like Indian phirni kheer…so mild and like a creamy dessert. If there are people in your family, who don’t like to eat the seeds and nuts as is…they will never make out, what this bonanza of a smoothie has in it !!

Ingredients required for Doctor Away Healthy Smoothie :
Local Apple 1 medium sized (always consume local produce, it is the freshest and suits your constitution the best). I put the apple in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to chill it. This way no extra ice is needed.
Half Cup Soy Milk / Almond Milk/ Skim Milk
Chia Seeds 1 teaspoon
Pumpkin Seeds 1 teaspoon
Chopped Walnuts 1 teaspoon
Sunflower seeds 1 teaspoon
Raw Organic Honey 1 Tablespoon
Rolled Oats 1/4 cup
Method of Preparing Doctor Away Smoothie :
Put all ingredients in the blender.Pulse for 2 minutes.
Halfway through it will look like this.
Blend till you get a smooth consistency and apple bits are well incorporated.
Enjoy this chilled health drink. Have it for breakfast or afternoon snack. You will not feel hungry for 3-4 hours.
