Who is it for? Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion is for people with oily skin type who seek an extremely lightweight lotion to hydrate the skin and control oil and shine simultaneously.

Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion

Price:

INR 2750/- for 59ml

How to use?

Apply it twice daily after cleansing the face.

My experience with Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion:

Packaging:

It comes in a pretty simple looking white plastic bottle with a grey twist to open cap. The mouth has a nozzle.

Fragrance:

It doesn’t have any smell as such.

Texture/Colour:

It is a transparent liquid which is neither dense nor runny. It feels somewhat like glycerine. It spreads easily over the skin.

My experience:

I have acne prone oily skin so bought and used this lotion in the morning and night after washing my face. I avoided applying moisturizer after this. I was simply flabbergasted by the results. The face went on to look matte and nongreasy for really long. Also, it did not over dry my skin or turned it flaky.

The product claims to have a blend of Salicylic Acid and Meadow Sweet that helps clear congested follicles and regulate excess oil production. I wouldn’t say that my acne disappeared but because it controlled oil secretion, the acne minimized to some extent.

I use it before makeup as well and skip the primer and the face doesn’t turn oily for good 4-5 hours. All in all, it is worth every penny.

What did I like?
  1. Controls oil.
  2. Makes the face look matte and nongreasy for quite long.
  3. Can be used under makeup.
  4. No fragrance.
  5. Minimise the acne to some extent.
What did I not like?
  1. Nothing really apart from the fact that availability can be an issue.
Would I recommend/ repurchase?

Yes because this one of the rare finds that actually control oil without drying out the skin.

Rating:

5 out of 5.
