Dear Packer Fenugreek + Cucumber Home Remedy Mask Review

by Sreeparna Ganguly

Fenugreek and Cucumber are two very easily available kitchen ingredients that many of us keep using for either skin or hair. Fenugreek seeds or Methi is a great ingredient for oily skin. It helps to cure acne. Cucumber, on the other hand, is a very famous skin soothing ingredient. It helps to calm down irritated skin and reverse various sun damages like tan, burn etc. Today I am reviewing a sheet mask that combines the best of these two ingredients; it’s Dear Packer Fenugreek + Cucumber Home Remedy Mask. I have oily-combination skin and I face severe acne bouts sometimes. So, this mask was a natural choice for me. Here is how this mask fared on me.

My Experience with Dear Packer Fenugreek + Cucumber Home Remedy Mask

Packaging- This sheet mask comes in a matte plastic pack that has been given a unique fan shape. Inside the pack there sits the mask sheet and serum. The Strong seal on the edges of the pack secures the serum from getting leaked. It is a one-time use pack, once you cut the pack, you need to use the product immediately. The label graphics for this mask sheet is very attractive. It depicts cute graphic images of Fenugreek and Cucumber.

Colour & Texture- The mask sheet is colored in pure white and the serum is completely transparent. The consistency of the serum is very light almost water like with the certain amount of moisturizing properties. It is not a drippy liquid but also not a very oily one. The formula feels comfortable to my skin.

Fragrance- The serum has mild cucumber fragrance. The smell may feel freshening to cucumber scent lovers but sadly I am not one of them so the fragrance is just okay to me. The scent is very short staying with this particular variant. It does not take more than 30 minutes to go off completely.

Experience- This one is my second mask from Dear Packer. I tried the Coconut variant previously and that one was a skin hydrating mask which kept all the promises. The formula of the serum felt quite lightweight to me. The moisturizing property of this one is lesser than the Coconut one. From the claims, it looks like this Fenugreek and Cucumber one is targeted towards moisture deficient and irritated skin with suntans. Though I do not have tans at the moment I have irritated skin due to acne breakouts. Though it is written ‘cooling’ in the packaging, the mask did not provide any extra cooling sensation other than the cool feeling I got from the evaporating serum. I did not see any visible reduction in the redness in the cheek area (from pimples). But, it did not cause more pimples or irritated the skin further. There was a little bit of radiance on my face because this mask was able to boost the level of hydration.

Overall Performance of Dear Packer Fenugreek + Cucumber Home Remedy Mask

Pros-
  1. Light formula, suitable for all types of skin
  2. Hydrates the skin
  3. Gives the skin a little bit of temporary glow
  4. Did not cause new pimples
Cons-
  1. Does not give instant results on redness or rashes as promised
  2. No extra cooling feel
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

I am going to repurchase this mask again since I am not a fan of cucumber fragrance and this mask just gave me average results. The Coconut variant was a lot better. I would not make hearty suggestions for this mask but would not say ‘no’ as well. If you skip this one you won’t miss much!

I’m not a big fan of the cucumber smell either.
