My experience with Dabur Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil

Packaging

The product is stored in a flip top type of bottle and the opening of the hole is too huge which means controlling the quantity of product that comes out is difficult. Also, the flip top sometimes doesn’t properly stick to its counterpart which makes it difficult to carry it while traveling

Texture and color

It has a runny consistency like that of oil and the product is a faint orange in color.

How to use

Open the cap and take the hair oil in your palm and run it through your scalp. Leave for 2 hours or overnight and wash off with mild cleansers. This is a light-weight, non-sticky hair oil hence it will be gone with one single hair wash.

Fragrance

It smells strongly of muskroot. If that’s not clear, it smells like normal soaps and I don’t like the fragrance

My experience with Dabur Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil

I have always been a fan of the Dabur Vatika hair oil and was excited when I saw that they have included the goodness of almonds in their hair oil and immediately purchased it. Recently I found out that mineral oil is bad for our skin and sadly, this product contains 72 percent of mineral oil. I was disappointed. Also, I used this product and it didn’t really make any difference for my hair in terms of reducing hair fall or hair growth or even providing luster. Of course, it contains natural ingredients, but the quantity of chemicals overpowers the quantity of natural ingredients in this product. It is non-sticky hair oil, but what is the point when it can’t give the much-needed nourishment to the scalp and ends of the hair? Personally, I don’t mind thick oils like castor until they provide nourishment and help with hair problems. In all, this definitely is not a product that is worth buying.

Would I repurchase or recommend?

No, I would not repurchase this product or recommend it to anyone since it contains mineral oil and loads of other chemicals which are proven to harm the skin. So why risk? It is better to use the natural product as compared to this. Have a great day, people

Absolutely gargi. I used to like the original vatika smell but I don’t remember how the oil fared since I was kid that time.
