Colourpop Baracuda: Hello, everyone. I have heard a great deal about Colourpop cosmetics and couldn’t resist buying it. I already knew that Ultra Mattes dry your lips so I did not buy matte but satin.  I received it yesterday only and because I had to go out of town, I am writing this review while traveling. So, now I will go into detail as to how it worked for me.

Price: $6 as on website

Net Weight: 3.2gm or 0.11oz

How to use?

Step1: Start with freshly exfoliated lips!

Step2: Apply your Ultra Satin Lip in a thin layer for most comfortable wear.

My Experience with Colourpop Baracuda

Packaging: The lip color comes in a small tube size white box. The bottle is transparent, thus, makes it easier to for you to know the quantity left.

Shade: The shade is a subtle blend of pink and red according to Colourpop, but it is almost close to mauve pink shade according to me. I did not find it to be plum shade as claimed by the site. But otherwise, it is a beautiful color. (You may even go through some same reviews by the buyers on the site)

Texture: The texture is satin and creamy, obviously. Yes, it does make your lips pigmented all day.

Staying Power: Colourpop claims that this lip color does transfer because it is, after all, not matte. But yes, it stays for like 7-8 hours which is more than usual.

Experience: After facing dryness issues of Colourpop’s other variant, Ultra Matte, I believe this is perfect if compared with it. It is not at all drying; in fact, it keeps your lips moisturized the whole time. Though it transfers, you can take care of that. Apart from this, one thing I disliked is that the color didn’t come as I expected it to be. I thought it will be mélange of red and pink; but no, it is a typical mauve pink. Not a tinge of red. But the color is amazing. It gives me a bold appearance and everyone is asking me right now which shade and brand is it.

Pros:

1. Non-drying
2. Attractive packaging
3. Highly pigmented
4. Keeps your lips moisturized all day
5. Actual shade is also great, in fact, bold
6. Long stay

Cons:

1. Transfers
2. Doesn’t match the actual shade
3. Might be a little expensive for some people because after customs duties and shipping charges, the price increases.

Would I repurchase/recommend it?

As far as shade is concerned, it is not at all what I saw on the site; so, do not buy if you are not a dark lip color person. But if you are, purchase it as soon as possible. I will repurchase it; because the shade gives me a bold look and I loved it. I will rate it 3.5 out if 5.
