My Experience with Colorpop Ultra Matte Lipstick – Vintage Lip Kit
The collection has five different shades- mauve (Bianca), burgundy (Tulle), Notion (Raspberry), Mahogany (Love Bug) and red (LAX). Each mini lipstick is 0.64g(online, the product looks much bigger). The size though is perfect to carry around in your bag. The shades are lovely and will suit most skin tones. Like the brand claims, it is very lightweight and glides on extremely smoothly.
The pigments are intense and one coat of the product is more than enough. If you do apply another coat, there are chances of it getting patchy. But one coat of it and you’re sorted for the night.
I’ve worn it for more than five hours, without a touch-up. That’s how long lasting it is. Another thing that happens with a second coat is that it tends to be very drying on the lips. Lastly, because of how intense the pigments are, taking it off can be a bit of a task. So make sure you have a really good makeup remover with you.
What I like ?
- Lovely shades
- Smooth application
- Strong pigments
- Long Lasting
- Suits most skin tones
What Don't I like?
- Gets patchy and dry if more than one coat is applied
Would I repurchase and recommend?
Ever since I’ve received it, I’ve been recommending it to a lot of people. The positives completely overpower the negatives. So yes, I would repurchase. However, I probably wouldn’t buy the mini collection; I’d prefer buying individual pieces of shades that I want.
