Colorbar Pure Innocence Velvet Matte Lipstick Review 1

My experience with Colorbar Pure Innocence Velvet Matte Lipstick

It stands as a deep rosewood color on fairer skin tones and a subtle shade of the same on duskier hues. It is long lasting, long wear and not as drying as most matte lipsticks are. It is not 100% transfer-proof but goes on creamy and moisturizing and stays the same for pretty much the entire day. Perfect for long days at work or hot college weekdays, this shade is perfect for anybody who is fond of a good work or college appropriate shade of pink. It does leave a pink hue on your lips after wiping off; using an oil based makeup remover is preferable for taking it off completely. The product description claims to stay on for at least 8 hours, and after an entire day of wearing this lipstick, the claim stands to be proven right. It also says that the lipstick is enriched with Vitamin E, which seems accurate because of the highly moisturizing formula. With the perfect balance of crème and matte, this lipstick is perfect for daily wear and a night out with the girls. The packaging is an attractive silver bullet with a transparent plastic cap at the top through which the shade is easily identifiable. Sticker with the shade name and code is at the bottom with a transparent tip which makes it easy to organize in your vanity box and pick it out for easy access. The lipstick has no chemical or factory smell and smells like a mix of vanilla and chocolate fragrance which makes you want to lick it off! This again might turn some people off, but according to me, smells wonderful and is one of the best smelling lipsticks I own.

Would I recommend this product?

All in all, I would rate this lipstick a strong 4/5 because of its value for money, great texture, and beautiful color payoff, and apart from the shade ‘Pure Innocence’ there is a huge variety of about 35 shades to choose from. Easily available at any close drugstore or makeup store, you can also order it online from various makeup portals and from Colorbar’s own website where the lipstick retails for INR 325. It shows up as beautiful rosewood in daylight and toned pinkish brown during night outs and is perfect for both. So, what are you waiting for, go on and dive in!

I so loved this shade! Thanks for the review. And I have no problem with the chocolate smell. Will definitely try it out.
