My experience with Clinique Take The Day Off |Clinique Makeup Remover

I was looking for a good makeup remover and got my hands on the CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF MAKEUP REMOVER FOR LIDS, LASHES, AND LIPS after seeing a lot of reviews as it was a bit costly so, I was a little skeptical on buying this one. So, as the brand claims that this product is able to remove the waterproof mascara I tried and tested it on one of my waterproof eye makeup and voila, it does its work effectively. The name suggests that this one is for the lids, lashes, and lips but guys what about the face makeup, don’t worry this one will help you remove that too and hence, it’s versatile as well.

So, it was my cousin’s marriage and I wore a lot of makeup, you know these big fat Punjabi weddings demand so much good looks and they can’t just come without makeup. I decided to use this makeup remover to remove that heavy makeup off my face and guys it worked wonders for me. I saturated my cotton pad with the product as suggested by the brand and it removed all of my makeup in just one sweep. The best part is that you don’t need to take a lot of this product and hence, it’s quite long lasting. This made my eyes stingy and blurry a bit but that’s just for a minute or two but it doesn’t bother me much as it does it work quite well. It doesn’t make my skin oily and makes my skin clear.

About the packaging:

I bought the 50ml pack of this which comes in a light purple/violet transparent bottle with the name of the product written on it. Now, there is an issue with the cap as it takes a lot of experience to open it properly in one go. You need to push the cap and then rotate it in the right direction. This has a great lock system which makes it travel-friendly and does not allow the product to leak.

Colour and texture

The product is transparent with a very little tinge of purple color when applied on the cotton pad. It has a liquidy texture and does not make my skin oily.

  6. Fragrance-free
  7. Allergy tested
  8. Ophthalmologist tested
  9. Removes waterproof makeup with ease
Cons:
  1. Little expensive
  2. Causes a little irritation in eyes
Would I recommend?

I would definitely recommend this to anybody who loves makeup and simultaneously doesn’t want their skin to get harmed. This product is a little high on the budget but its worth the money you put in it. It removes makeup in just one sweep and hence, a very little amount of this product is needed. Its long lasting and you don’t need to keep buying the makeup remover very often. This 50ml bottle is going to last quite long I am sure.

Would I buy it again?

I would love to buy this amazing product again as I know its worth every single penny. Surely, there are other variants in the market but they won’t last very long, unlike this one.

There’s no such need to wash your face after using it but if your eyes are stinging then you must splash cold water to avoid that. Thank you :love

I just wish this came with a drop cap.. To have control over the product.. For a clumsy person like me this can be a concern.. But the product nails in the formula and does its job..
