Who is it for? Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Hibiscus is for the people who are looking for a super moisturizing tinted lip balm which is 100% natural.

Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Hibiscus

Price- $ 5 for 4.25 grams
Natural/Organic/Vegan- 100% Natural

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Hibiscus

Packaging-

The lip balm comes in a small tube which has a color-coded cap. It comes in a twist up packaging like any other lip balm. It is quite small and compact and can be easily carried around. All the information related to the product is clearly mentioned on the tube.

Colour and Texture-

This particular lip balm has a dark red color when it is in the tube, as in the product looks dark red in its packaging but on the actual application, it only has a slight tint of red/orange color.

The texture is really smooth and buttery. It has beeswax and Shea butter which makes it very moisturizing. It also leaves your lips to look slightly shiny on the application. But the color pays off is not what I expected from such an expensive lip balm.

Fragrance-

It has a subtle fragrance (actually smells like wax) which doesn’t stay for too long.

My Experience-

I like using this lip balm not because it is tinted but because it is really moisturizing, thanks to its 100% natural ingredients like Shea butter and beeswax. On application, it doesn’t stay for 8 hours (as the brand claims) but it lasts for 2-3 hours maximum without eating anything. You have to keep reapplying it to ensure soft, moisturized lips. It is not at all tinted for Indian skin tones. Indians have naturally pigmented lips and this lip balm’s color doesn’t show up at all. Maybe it would be visible on people having a fairer complexion. For me, it hardly adds any color to my lips; I can see my pigmented lips entirely through the lip balm. So, if you are looking forward to buying this because it says that it is tinted, then understand that it is simply a very moisturizing lip balm and there’s hardly any tint. Keeping aside the tint factor, this lip balm performs really well on the lips. In fact, if you apply it on your lips overnight, next morning you will experience the most supple lips.

What did I like about the product?
  1. 100 % natural
  2. Moisturising
  3. Paraben-free
  4. Not sticky at all
  5. Available in a variety of shades
  6. Good for daily use
  7. Good color pay off on fair skin tone
  8. Easy application
What didn’t I like about the product?
  1. Expensive’
  2. Not easily available in India
  3. Does not have any tint at all
  4. Doesn’t last long
  5. Quite sheer
Would I recommend or repurchase the product?

I wouldn’t recommend buying this product if you are in search of a tinted lip balm because for Indian skin tones it will turn out to be sheer, but if you are looking for a highly moisturizing, 100% natural and effective lip balm then go ahead and buy it. It is available at Sephora in India, but very expensive. So if you can get it from the US, it would be kinda affordable. But still, I feel that $5 for a lip balm is little expensive. Make your choice wisely and try it out someday.

My Ratings- 3/5
