We have all used EDT’s, EDP’S, mists and what not. Body shop launched their perfume oil and I was very fascinated by the word. Perfumes, we know, oils also we know, but how about the combination? So here I am with a review of the The Body Shop Perfume Oil Fijian Water Lotus . Read on to know more details about the product and how it fared for me.
Details about The Body Shop Perfume Oil Fijian Water Lotus
What is it?
The Body Shop says “escape to the island paradise of Fiji, where we discovered the breathtakingly beautiful water lotus. We carefully handpicked these beautiful flowers and created a delicate and unique scent with the water lotus notes and frangipani accords for a breeze of fragrance straight from the Pacific. It has the gentle and sensual smell of water lotus mixed with the aromatic sea air and the sweet citrusy mandarins. It is the perfect mixture of freshness, sweetness, and innocence originating from the lotus. This scent is long lasting, alcohol-free. For best results, it can be used with other Fijian water lotus products to build up the fragrance.

My experience with The Body Shop Perfume Oil Fijian Water Lotus
The packaging is a transparent small bottle with a white cap and the cap has a stick attached to it which can be dipped into the container and applied wherever required.
Colour and texture
It is a clear liquid and has a runny consistency
I don’t know how Fijian water lotus smells but this just smells heavenly. It has an extremely sophisticated, classy yet mild smell which will definitely catch everyone’s senses. It has an aquatic fragrance but then, it transforms into a floral fragrance as time passes by.
I purchased this seeing its really unique name, perfume oil. Some of the body shop product fare great, they include body butter, soaps, etc. this was an impulse buy. It has gentle and sensual lotus scent. It is more like an aquatic fragrance which has top notes of mandarin orange, damask rose, sea notes, and lotus. The base notes include litsea cubeba which is a tropical evergreen tree. It smells like an aquatic fragrance in the beginning but then develops into a more floral fragrance. It has an applicator attached to the cap that can be used to dab the perfume oil on the wrist, back of the knee, back of the ears and wherever you want to. Don’t rub the perfume between the wrist because that just lessens the fragrance by breaking the perfume molecules. This stays for a good 6 hours on me, but obviously, the strength of the fragrance decreases with time but keeps me feeling fresh for the 6 hours. Also, it is alcohol-free and hence not too strong and doesn’t irritate the skin or senses.

Would I repurchase or recommend this?
Yes, I definitely recommend this product to people who are looking for an alcohol-free, long lasting, affordable fragrance, but since I have already used it, I won’t repurchase the same product, but will definitely try other perfumes from the body shop.
Glossypolish verdict: The body shop perfume oil is definitely a must buy since it stays long, is pocket-friendly, alcohol-free, smells heavenly and a little product goes a long way. Glossypolish recommends this and gives it a 5/5.
