My Experience with Blue Heaven Xpression Lip Color Pencil 04

Packaging- This lip pencil comes in sharpenable chubby stick form. The lip color’s tip is covered by a transparent plastic lid. A sharpener is also provided with it. The packaging is not that good. The lid does not fit properly and the finish of the pencil is not good as well.

Shade- 04 is a bold reddish orange color. The color is not yellowish saffron orange but more on the red side. The warmth of this color makes it a perfect bold or festive lip colour for yellow based Indian complexions. This shade works well with muted eye makeup or winged liner look.

Texture- It is a shiny finish lip pencil. Its texture is light and creamy. It gives even finish to the lips. The lips do not get crinkly and flaky due to its moisturizing formula.

Pigmentation- This lip pencil is insanely pigmented. In fact, this is one of the most pigmented shades of this entire range of Xpression Lip Color Pencil. In 1-2 swipe, completely opaque finish is achieved. Plus, the color does not crumble if I purse the lips. But, this particular shade stains my lips if applied for a longer period.

Staying Power- This lipstick stays for about 4-5 hours without meals or drinks. Drinks fade the shade from the center of the lips due to transfer. After a heavy meal, a reapplication is needed. The stay time increases if the moisture part is blotted off.

Fragrance- This lip pencil is fragrance-free. A light castor oil smell comes if you sniff the pencil’s tip. After application, it gets completely fragrance free.

3. Suits everyone irrespective of their skin tone

What didn’t I like?

1. Flimsy packaging
2. Only the outer packaging has the shade number so identifying the shades become harder
3. Does not survive meals

Would I Recommend?

Yes. If you are in tight budget r want an orange lip color to try out, go for this.
