My Experience With Biotique Bio Vera Body Lotion With Spf 75

Growing up with a photosensitive and dry skin, choosing a body lotion for myself was always difficult. Recently, I came across the Biotique bio vera 75+ SPF UVA/UVB Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Body Lotion. Although a little expensive compared to other body lotions of the same weight, honestly, the only factor that lead me to buy this product was the SPF of 75+. With the summers around the corner, a body lotion with an SPF was the essential skincare product for me. The consistency of the lotion is what I liked the most. It is very light on the skin for summers. The SPF is also decent. I haven’t tanned as much as I used to earlier! But, in my opinion, it is not meant for dry skin. My skin surely did get sun protection but did not give me moisturization. My skin still was dry instead of feeling supple. Also, the strong floral fragrance was a little overpowering for me. Almost nauseating! But that, of course, is a personal preference. So, if you a floral fragrance junkie, this body lotion is your thing!
Since the bottle is cylindrical in shape, I had to squeeze the bottle to get the product out which was a little taxing at times. Sometimes I squeezed out more than the required product. Therefore if it had a pump format, it would have been ergonomically more convenient.

The bio vera 75+ SPF UVA/UVB Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Body Lotion is a moisturizing lotion cum sunscreen. It is an Ayurvedic body lotion made from natural and skin soothing ingredients. Its ingredients include Aloe Vera gel, (Aloe vera being one of the most used natural ingredients to cure sunburns and irritation caused due to the sun.) Margosa bark, Nut grass seeds, Sunflower oil, Kulanjan fruit and purified water making it completely natural and ayurvedic. With its dual benefits, it becomes a very convenient product to use in a summer dominant country like India. The lotion bottle is almost translucent pale yellow in color with a deep green cap. It has a cylindrical packaging which is very compact and handy. The ayurvedic formula also makes it suitable even for sensitive skin types.

The lotion is moderately creamy and very easily blendable. It does not feel heavy on the body making it an ideal choice for the summer. It is opaque by nature and comes in a very light tint of green. It also possesses a very strong floral fragrance.

The SPF (sun protection factor) that it provides is 75+ which is very high, suitable for the Indian summers. The product also offers UVA (ultraviolet a) protection. UVA is more harmful than the UVB rays as the UVA rays remain unfiltered by the ozone layer. Both the rays prove to be the main cause of skin cancer. Many sunscreens offer UVB protection but only a few of them also have the UVA rays covered. But, only a handful of them offers protection from both and the bio vera 75+ SPF UVA/UVB Sunscreen Ultra Soothing Body Lotion is one of them.

Biotique Bio Vera Body Lotion With Spf 75 2

PROS:
  1. Ayurvedic formula
  2. Suitable for sensitive skin types
  3. Body lotion with infused sunscreen
  4. Moderate consistency for summers
  5. Easily blends into the skin
CONS:
  1. Ergonomically flawed packaging
  2. Not for dry skin
  3. Overpowering floral fragrance for people preferring subtle fragrances
  4. A little expensive for the quantity of product.
  5. Not moisturizing enough in cities with dry climates
To buy or not to buy?

Surely a must buy if you are looking out for a body lotion with sunscreen, have oily skin and prefer strong floral fragrances. Also, if you don’t mind spending. I suggest people with dry skin should not consider the product. Overall, apart from the sun protection, the lotion offers and its consistency, I quite did not like the product and wouldn’t repurchase it.

Love your honest review :love
I really like biotique products but their sunscreen range is not my favourite. This aloe vera sunscreen is not that appealing so I would skip it..
