Best Herbal Shampoo : Kama Lavender Patchouli Shampoo

by Sone

Today I will be reviewing the best herbal shampoo that I have tried in a while. It is the Kama Ayurveda Lavender Patchouli Shampoo! I used to swear by the forest essentials rose shampoo. Unfortunately, the brand discontinued that excellent product. After trying several other unsuitable shampoos by the brand, I was searching high and low for a mild shampoo. I chanced upon this, so let’s see how this has panned out  :)

My experience with the Kama Ayurveda Lavender Patchouli Shampoo

The shampoo comes in a dark bottle, pretty much the standard Kama Ayurveda packaging.

The shampoo is a thick gel and a little goes a long way.

I always dilute some shampoo with water and apply ¾ of it on the scalp and the remaining ¼ on rest of my hair.I feel that ways I have some semblance of control over the amount of product I put on my hair :P We generally don’t realize the crazy amount of product we ladle on our heads and trust me that is never a good thing for your scalp.

It cleans the hair nicely without drying my scalp out or irritating it.My hair feels clean and normally soft- not overtly so. It keeps the hair looking shiny and I love that aspect of its performance.

The fragrance is pleasant mild lavender that does not linger.

I have been using this shampoo after mild oiling and so far it has done a pretty decent job as a regular mild cleanser.

I don’t have dandruff or hair fall concerns and this product fits the bill for me.

Nothing great but not bad as well!

Would I recommend?

It is a pretty decent and affordable herbal product. I use it after oiling my hair and so far it has not failed me. It’s not the best shampoo out there, but it’s a very near close second. Recommended.
