Lakme Whitening Rose Powder Review

by Harshita Arya

Who is it for? LAKME WHITENING ROSE POWDER is for all those who are starting to sail on their journey to the world of makeup. Generally, if we look at the whole criteria for a full face of makeup, loose powder is something we can’t deny the power of. It sets your makeup in place, especially the oily areas of your face, i.e., eyes, upper lip etc. And to be honest, loose powders are really costly and may burn your desires to buy something else if on a budget. But here, I introduce you with this loose powder which is totally what you’ll be looking for.

Lakme Whitening Rose Powder

Price:

Rs 160 for 27g.

How to Use:

Right after doing concealer, take a generous amount of this powder on your brush or beauty blender and dab it under your eye area, keeping in mind to cover it up all. Keep it for 3-5 minutes and then dust off the excess product. You can also use it under your contour to cut fresh your contour lines on your cheeks.

My Experience With Lakme Whitening Rose Powder

Packaging-

It comes in a round plastic container which is grey in colour with black inscripted words. If you open the box, there’s a transparent lid through which you’ll be able to see the product. You need to open the lid which is a little tight so be careful with that as it may cause fall out. You also get a sponge applicator which is amazing.

Experience-

My experience with this product has been amazing. I am a student and I’m always on a look out to buy decent and affordable products and this product just works amazing for me. I have oily to combination skin and this one keeps all the oil away without actually interfering with my makeup. It is a white coloured powder and the best part is that it contains sunscreen. It consists of a soft texture and gives a matte look. It works really great for light makeup.

Pros
  1. Does the work of setting my concealer in place.
  2. Texture is really soft and smooth.
  3. Smells like real roses and makes my face feel fresh.
  4. Is affordable.
  5. Contains sunscreen.
  6. Comes with a sponge applicator.
Cons
  1. Fall out issues every time you open this.
  2. Not for duskier skin tones as it is a white powder.
  3. May leave a white cast if not blended properly.
  4. Not a go-to application product.
Would I recommend?

Yes, with all my heart I would recommend this if you’re on a budget and just starting out and experimenting makeup but if you have a dusky skin tone, I would not recommend this as it may look odd and unnatural.
