Hi, you all hope everyone is doing well! When we all started using makeup in beginning, it used to be so simple, so few products and now there are a countless number of products we used for a full face makeup! Before we would only use Kajal, mascara, blush, lipstick, and maybe foundation too. However now there are set of products for eyebrows, a set for eyes, a whole lot of products for face, then a few more for lips. There are so many products that go on face starting from moisturizer, then a serum, foundation, corrector, concealer, under eye powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter, face powder, setting spray. So many products just for face makeup!

Today I am going to be reviewing a contouring powder for you guys! I never knew what contouring was before and I am sure none of us did! But contouring became quite a thing after Kim Kardashian’s famous photo of her getting contoured by her make-up artist. Basically, contouring helps you slim your face features and sharpen them to show an illusion of having hollow and defined cheekbones. Contouring has become a ritual for many of us at least occasionally. And personally I kind of enjoy contouring; it sharpens your features to quite an extent. I am reviewing for you the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Powder in Mink. It is a really nice chocolate matte brown color that works great for achieving shadows, which is basically how contouring is done; by creating shadows to give an illusion of a slim face.

Price: 500 INR for the refillable pan (bought online), whole contour kit is more expensive.

Shades/Variety: There are many shades available but this one is great for people with olive skin tone as it creates nice shadows to achieve contouring effect.

Formulation: Matte Satin powder finish.

My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Powder Mink

• PACKAGING: I bought a refill pan instead of a proper one as it was on sale when I bought it. The packaging is very basic and the pan comes in a brand’s black paper pouch with the pan inside a plastic transparent seal. The packaging is quite compact as you can just keep the product inside the seal without having to buy a box for the pan.
• SMELL: There is no smell to the product.
• WEARABILITY: The pigmentation of the contour powder is quite good, when I first applied the powder, the pigmentation was so strong that I had to keep blending and rubbing the powder for it to blend properly for long. You definitely need to use this little by little instead of going all at once heavy handed. You can always build the product on as it is much easier than rubbing the product in for long. Staying power of the product is quite good as well, it would stay put for at least 5-6 hours, which is quite decent for me.

I am quite satisfied with this product; I was so excited to purchase this product because of all the raves on YouTube. It is definitely worth it and does the job quite well.

Would I recommend it or repurchase?

I would definitely recommend this to people as there aren’t many contouring powders available that caters to women of color and this brand offers shades variety. It contours pretty well and is quite easy to use.
